Honestly I am quite set with Ryzen 1600 and have no plans to move on to Threadripper (definitely way beyond my budget even if the price dropped) and definitely not Intel, never been an intel fanboy after their 166Mhz MMX CPU.

err... something new for me... sorry I am old school abit when it come to this crypto-currency thing... all I know is that they do some kind of math calculation and get paid in bitcoin rite? but how does it effect the GPU market?

appreciate your help, thanks.
*
But when something new comes out, prices will change. There is no point quoting now when it will change next year.

Because GPU does bitcoin significantly faster. High demand with not enough stock will cause rise in prices.

I just bought one but haven't assembled it yet. Gotta backup data first.

I'll let you know when I'm done.

Haswell to Broadwell? That's 4th to 5th gen and the socket is still the same which means you don't have to swap the mobo if you go for this path, but then it is not worth to do this upgrade because the improvement is not insignificant at all, same goes to Kaby Lake (7th gen) upgrade, AMD Ryzen is a better pick if you want something that can bring major performance improvement to your rig.
Your budget is not enough to get a decent quality PSU, RM400 is the minimum recommended budget for that purpose smile.gif
*
Ic could you recommend me AMD Ryzen spec that could surpassed my current i5 4460 rig? Sorry I was about to said kaby lake but accidently type in broadwell instead..xD

My budget would be for each parts:

Processor RM400~900+ Max
RAM(At least 16GB) RM 400~800+ Max
PSU RM 400~500+ Max
MOBO RM400~RM500+ Max
Casing RM400~RM500+ Max

Thanks man for the advice

Thanks for the suggestion. Just want to ask regarding some of the parts as maybe I can top up a bit. Atleast another RM1k.

Segotep K7 - Does it have good airflow ? This one fully tempered glass right ? any problem using such case ? Or any other casing within similar budget

Superflower Leadex Gold 550W vs 750w Corsair cx750 = Which one is better ?

Asus strix b250 - This motherboard good for the new setup?

i5 7400 vs i5 7500 vs Ryzen 5 1400 : I know Ryzen will perform better, do AMD CPU's still have heating issues ? Is it worth to get i5 7500 instead of i5 7400 ?

If full ATX mobo, how much do i need to topup?

btw if im opted for mobo GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 is it cool? because i was thinking of making red&black theme.

For CPU, should i fork abit for 1500/1600 or 1400 is sufficient enough because i really expecting of getting at least 30% upgrade in performance from i5 4460.

with that price, better get ryzen 5 1600 6C/12T, a tons better and should last longer than a 4C/4T i5.

for mobo, if u no need some features like sli, can get cheaper one.

heating issue? i think u refer to amd previous generation cpu bulldozer right?

for ryzen, don't worry it utilize a new micro architecture and process node, the power usage is quite efficient and comparable with intel kaby lake. ryzen 7 1700 8C/16T tdp only 65w lol.

How's ryzen's performance? didn't really look into it but seems like the series has been quite a challenge to intel?

ryzen 1600 + gigabyte ab350m -gaming 3? don't really plan to sli.

Go for GTX 1050 Ti. Should be around RM700. Balance look for keyboard and mouse you like. RX 470 or GTX 1060 and higher got crazy price hike.

You may want to wait for graphic card upgrade. GTX 1060 prices skyrocketing.

For the CPU, look for second hand i7-4770 or i7-4790.

hey brothers, my last PC finally bit the dust. It's pretty old now so I'm looking to get a new build rolling.

[Budget]~3500, at most 4000

[Purpose]Graphics, Art, medium intensity gaming

[Hardwares that will be re-use]Monitors, KB+M, HDD, SSD

[Monitor resolution]1920x1080 x2

[Games & softwares that use frequently]Maya, Clip Studio, Nox, Photoshop, PUBG, Dota2

[Personal preferences]A build/case that is easy to clean and dust resistant, runs cool is probably the highest priority. I also don't really need to game on Ultra so I can cut the graphics part down if need be.

[Location]KL

thanks brothers

Not a good time to buy a rig for gaming. Graphic card prices are skyrocketing.

How about these?

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - 1039
Asus Prime B350M-A - 445
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2133 X1 - 520
Galax GTX 1060 Ti 6GB DDR5 OC - 1499 (price may be higher or out of stock)
Super Flower Leadex Silver 550W - 359
Tecware Edge case - 169

RM4031 total (C-Zone price)

You can go for GTX 1050 Ti for around RM700 if you wanna cut cost.

Hi all sifus,
I'm considering to build gaming rig as below. Mainly for some AAA titles like Skyrim, GTA V, etc in 1080p.

Intel I5 7500. Rm899
Gigabyte GA-B250 Gaming 3 Rm499
G.Skill AEGIS 16gb DDR4 Rm569
FSP 600W 80+ Bronze Rm329
Sharkoon DG7000 Rm 349
Samsung Evo ssd 250gb Rm509

I have GTX1050ti bought not long ago for this rig and might upgrade to 1060 in future. Any further advice for me?
