Bought civic 1.5 tcp last november. Was totally surprised with the poor quality of modern honda car.

1) peeling clearcoat @ roof panel - fixed by SC with some questionable repaint quality (overspray & dripping)

2) uneven door paint rear RHS - fixed by SC. Acceptable quality

3) vsa clicking noise - not yet fixed

4) windshield rubber frame crack & torn causing wind crackling sound & possibly water leakage - this one really takes the cake. 4 months car, 7000km, 90% covered car park suffer from this issue. SC told rubber degraded. Warranty claim is quite hassle with long waiting period for replacement.

5) misaligned door - SC tried to fix by adjusting the rubber seal. But does not solve the problem at all. Still misaligned as if the car had an accident & had a bad repair job.

6) various rattle, creaks & odd noise in the car - can somehow live with it but.. Come on..

7) lots of dust trapped in the meter cluster - same above

8) twisted & inconsistent rubber seals around doors & trunk space - same above

disappointed & regret with the purchase. Never had this much problem on a brand new car before, not even a proton or perodua. Wondering if im expecting too much for a 130k car..

Bad experience with SC @Old Klang Rd. Send my car in for engine oil change (1st time) last Tuesday. Then the next few days spotted Oil on my parking lot. Call then many times. Initially don't want to take my call. Finally a lady takes the call and ask me to come to the SC today.

Send the car in and I was with them to see how serious the oil leakage is. Wow... so many oil on the bottom of the engine and the bottom cover.

The senior foreman confirmed its due to washer problem. So I question them
1. Genuine washer? If yes, then should fit 100% right?
2. Reuse the old washer?
3. Not tighten properly? Because being handle by inexperienced foreman?

Lost 100ml oil in only 10 days. Told them that luckily I saw the leakage. Else the engine will be short of oil and causing engine meltdown.

Very mad and disappointed with the SC.

After engine oil change, better check the parking floor to see any oil leakage or not.

lucky nvr go to them even I stay OKR sweat.gif

Buy yourself via mysikap, super easy, just requires you to go jpj once for the activation code, the rest can be done in front of your pc, save money from getting charge extra by runner

Sorry to hear about your problems bro. Can't do anything but go to the SC while under warranty. Dust trapped under meter cluster never heard yet, but VSA clickling noise they already accepted the complaint yet?

Clicking sound from the engine while driving is normal for direct injection vehicles. But rattling noise from VSA is totally different - normally when you drive on uneven roads - or driving fast on small yellow painted speed bumps on the road. It's a loud fast clicking noise - originating from below the steering wheel. Don't have the video but a few people posted on this thread. Try to search in previous posts / thread.

I consider myself unlucky & landed on a lemon car. no complaint with overall performance.

About the rubber seals, they are supposed to be long-lasting and able to withstand reasonable pressure. If a cat can damage it.. well, the quality is really questionable right? My previous honda cars, kept more than 10 years without any issue of peeling/cracking rubber seals.

yes.. problem is, the queue is too long and most of the time SC simply give 'standard answer' or simply drag the matter. Yeah VSA clickling some people fix and accepted without any question asked.

Its the intermittent click you hear at the driver area. In my case, its clicking on unenven surface, potholes and sudden braking.

during first inspection, i only notice paintwork inconsistencies & door misalignment. For paintwork I was told & I thought the blotchy brighter/darker areas could be caused by dirt & should go off with proper detailing. For door I went to fix few days after delivery - but until now they only adjust the rubber seals. Next visit im gonna insist they adjust the hinge/whatever mechanism that cause it to be misaligned - problem is, need to set another appointment with body centre.. lots of time wasted.

For other creaks, rattles, weird sounds & noises appear only after few weeks..

The sound its not from engine. Its from somewhere around the push start stop button. So the VSA is not supposed to have clicking sound at all? Omg! I always thought its VSA in action so it will click. Hmmm

Ya, I got it too. Sometimes when going through uneven road I can hear a few clicks. So its not normal?

1st of all, your expectation is right on $130K car. The problem is with CKD car. Lack/bad QC by local management.
I got 4 defects and one of them is (2) on the driver door. My is white pearl and therefore can easily see the black color paint (the 1st layer paint) on 1 area on the door.

Other defects are
9) Broken rubber on the front bonet
10) driver seat power adjuster pop out
11) Wires under the driver seat drop out

Like you, disappointed with this Honda Civic. Will consider Honda car in the future... UNLIKELY!

I did a car wash over the weekend and noticed that there was moisture trapped in my rear lights. Took some pictures as attached.
The moisture evaporated on its own after a while, but I'm not happy that it's so easy for moisture to get into the lights.

Will show this to the SC when I go for my 1K service. Anyone have any idea what they will do about this?
