Placed my booking for a 2017 TC-P over the weekend. I got a 5K discount, plus a RM500 tint voucher.

SA was saying that they only have limited number of cars, as apparently Honda is gearing their production to the BR-V and City in March. Don't know if that was sales bullshit or genuine. S

Since I was going to get the car anyway and the discount was decent I booked anyway. Should be getting my car in a week or two I hope. I need to start planning what to do now, pening from seeing all the information in 5 versions.

Good discount u got der! According to SA, the BRV are the most laku amongst the Honda car currently due to the cheaper price.

Civic not everyone can afford thus demand are lesser...

It's really good if you have a growing family and want space for a good price. Loads of families were at the dealer on Saturday looking at that car.

I was wondering if I should follow some of the detailing sifu's here who said to ask the SA to not wax/polish the car before delivery (do all cars get waxed and polished before delivery?).

Thinking maybe I should send to a shop after collecting the car for proper wax & polish. Any recommendations or suggestions?

I'll be getting my lunar silver Civic this Saturday! Quite excited to pick it up. After doing some reading on coating, I've narrowed down to 3 options:

1. Gyeon M4 (although I don't know if the RM21xx offer is still available)
2. Opticoat which is RM22xx
3. Sierra Blue flame which is RM2175 + GST

If Gyeon is still available then I think I would definitely go with that. Any thoughts from you folks?

*
Actually the cost for the coating is already at my upper end that I want to spend.

What is the minimum length for the USB cable to be run through to the cable area in the dash? I tried searching in V1 - V4 but no mention of the length.

I'm wondering if the 25cm Pineng Short Cable would suffice, or if I should get the 1m quick charge Pineng 1M cable ?

1M is more than enough. 25cm also ok - if you're only putting it at the console area in front of the gear.
*
I got the 1M one. Figured better longer than too short - like most things in life biggrin.gif

Collected my TCP silver this morning. I must say it looked menacing waiting for me biggrin.gif

SA even gave me RM20 to pour fuel as he didn't fill up enough. Definitely a very nice and completely unexpected gesture.

I do have a question, seems the rear wheel well interior is not plastic but the same fabric/material as the boot cover. Seems odd to me, the rest of you guys have the same?

Grats! Anyway it's felt-like material - and it's used as soundproofing

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Mar 11 2017, 06:21 PM)
yes, it's to reduce the noise
*
Thanks guys. I compared with the front plastic material and was wondering why the material is different. With our weather plastic would be better for cleaning.

Sending the car for IGL coating on Monday, will share post pics after.

Dude... 50k overdue is serious. You mean you never went to any servicing at all? Your engine might be filled with sludge by now... how long since you serviced the car snyway? 2 years?
*
I hope he means that he's always servicing at something like 7k intervals instead of 5k intervals.

I took about 70% loan over 5 years.
Just nego a bit with PBB. HongLeong also offered 2.54% so I told PBB officer that, and PBB matched.

Man, this kinda sucks since I just collected my car 4 days ago and I paid for the 4 mil ecotint. But good deal for those who've not paid for a tint yet.

Don't know yet, and hope I won't have a need to find out biggrin.gif

I guess in a few months the 1st batch of owners will be renewing their roadtax+insurance, I wonder how many will continue with HIP

oil life as in the engine oil consumption will increase alot if jam everyday?
*
I've only done 172KM so far and my oil life has 9600 left. I drive PJ-KL then park in the office the whole day. So by this ratio I might have to service 10K around 5K rclxub.gif

I was in Singapore earlier this week and saw an aunty driving a red Civic; their red is so much nicer than ours. Would super suit dark-tinted glass. Singapore Civic colours

Thats my understanding. Civic doesn't go by time/distance-based service but rather according to the Maintenance Minder.

I did a car wash over the weekend and noticed that there was moisture trapped in my rear lights. Took some pictures as attached.
The moisture evaporated on its own after a while, but I'm not happy that it's so easy for moisture to get into the lights.

Will show this to the SC when I go for my 1K service. Anyone have any idea what they will do about this?
