So that the cable is hidden , and dashcam can auto record when engine ignited..
*
Ni need hardwire. I just used the supplied USB cable to be connected to the cigarette lighter power supply - it will turn on and record automatically when the ignition is turned on. The cable is easily hidden too.

The only reason why you want to hardwire the dashcam is to also record when the engine is turned off - record during parking

Something like this. The weather sealing rubber at the door can also be pulled out and installed back in.

Hi ther to all, if use hdmi cable for mirroring purpose. Can be done for android phone? If yes, what is the specific hdmi cable or donggle we need to buy? I using android auto, but still love to use waze and if can mirror whole hp to my screen hehe. Any advice?
*
You need to get the HDMI bypass to use Waze at the moment, or if you want to mirror the whole phone screen. Android Auto will support Waze "soon"

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Feb 25 2017, 02:21 PM)
For android play, we need plug usb cable to phone right?
*
Just USB to Phone will do - like your normal charging cable.

Hi, whr u did the bypass last time? The cable is cheap, just worry about the workmanship 🤔
*
I didn't do bypass - waiting for AA to support Waze officially - but there are lots of shops doing it now, and you can checkout the whatsapp group too (listed on post #1). Price is between RM80-RM100 iinm.

Will do! Which colour did you get bro?

QUOTE(Newbie838 @ Feb 26 2017, 11:18 AM)
So guys, I noticed a couple of things about my car after a long drive yesterday.
Can anyone help me figure out if it's normal or what's going on?

1. The instrument lighting (HU, Meter cluster, Start Button) all suddenly went to full brightness. This happened during sunset. After about 20-30 mins, it dropped back to the previous brightness, then a while later went all bright again. I can't seem to find any reason it would do that. My instrument brightness sensitivity is set to "Mid". Does this have anything to do with this?

2. The rear view mirror doesn't work during daytime. I tried shining light directly onto the sensor and it didn't darken at all. It did however start working when it was properly dark outside. Does our rear view mirror only work at night? I've used similar technology in other cars and it works all the time, even in bright daylight, if there's reflection of the sunlight from other cars, the mirror would still darken.

3. I know our car is supposed to engage the parking brake when the driver's seatbelt is removed but it there a specific condition for it to work? I found that it doesn't always engage parking brake. Brake hold on the other hand is a godsend. Love it.

4. My dashboard seems to have a tiny defect on it. I really don't like the idea of getting the SC to replace the entire dashboard as from past experiences with other manufacturers, whenever they do something like that, you'll end up with even more problems. What are your thoughts?

5. Looks like the A pillar rattle is there in my car. It wasn't there in the first couple of days but now it's quite prominent. Sigh. I hope they really fix this simple thing at some point.

One more thing, not sure if anyone has tested this, but I used remote engine start yesterday then got into the car a while later and attempted to drive off, forgetting to "start" the car. The engine died the moment I pressed the button on the shift level. Good to know this safety/security feature works. Overall very happy with the car.

A piece of advice for anyone thinking of getting Groovy Sunshades. I got one for the Civic FC. I had it on my previous car and it was such a nice thing to have but now I've noticed the quality has dropped. For Civic FC, it uses magnetic clips that stick on to the door but not all clips are able to reach it. Each shade has at least 1 clip that's not able to reach the door. Something to think about before spending RM350 on these things.
*
1. That's weird... Mid is the default, which should be ok normally. Did it happen only one time? Or a few times now?
2. It won't darken, but it would be a green tinge. You can try to cover the front sensor (facing the road), and shine a light at the back sensor (facing you).
3. Need to be on brakehold
4. Up to you tongue.gif
5. Simple fix, but need to go to the SC

Mean when we at Auto hold, everytime we put in P or stop engine it will auto Hand Break for us?
If u really want easy wax, meguiars liquiq wax is highly recommend, easy apply, easy buff, no need scare apply too thick or thin, it can just buff very easily

If u guys want to start detail , can buy the starter kit first

can try to get this http://www.lazada.com.my/meguiars-g3200-br...kit-944029.html

or u try message cheeho04 in lowyat forum see he stil carrying this Starter KIT or not , this can save u alot of money
The starter kit got

-Meguiars MicroFiber Wash Mitt
-Ultimate Wash and Wax shampoo small pack enough for few month wash
-Ultimate Liquiq Wax small pack enough for 3-5 car(do every 3 month so enough for ur 1 year usage)
-Endurance Tire gel <<--- this for wax ur tire (this i use almoat 2 year haven finish zzzz)

then the package is include
-Foam Applicator Pad to apply wax
-Water magnet towel to dry ur car
-and 1 microfiber towel supreme shine <-- for buff off ur wax
this kit is more smaller than u buy the big one , so actually u can try it with small potion first , see it suit u or not , because when i start to play detailing , i also buy this package

The actual step for detail actually should wash>clay>polish>wax>maintain spray wax

I just skip the polish part bcoz if u going to polish with ur hand, will die haha, i just want something protect my paint is enough, so i choose clay and direct wax then maintain happy.gif

I remembered I did post this before and I found it laugh.gif

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry83232217

Brake hold will automatically cancel and apply parking brake if:
1. Brake Hold engaged for 10 continuous minutes
2. Driver seat belt unfastened
3. Engine is turned off
4. Problem with the brake hold system
5. Battery disconnected

Thank you bro , that is very informative , u should put in pages 1 hehe , so mean everytime we turn off the engine , it will automatic trigger the parking brake ya
Got some member pm ask me about the wax , to make simple conclusion

if u looking for something that really SHINING , GLOSS , then go for Pure Wax , Meg liquiq wax , Carn Wax, Soft99 shine wax, but this won't long last , i rate as 5/5 shine
but if u looking for something to just protect ur paint , and it last more longer , and really make ur life easy , then soft99 Fusso 12month is your choice , i would rate it 3/5 shine , i already order the Soft 99 Luxury Gloss Spray wax , i plan to topup see will get better shining or not , if it can go to 4/5 or 4.5/5 , then it really prefect , just now i do pm Soft99 product in facebook , he say if really want to shining2 with FussoCoat , before apply u need to polishing ur car until shining2 , then only Fusso coat , as u know no matter how new is ur car, there must be already get dirt or expose to sun for maybe few week or month

This is the reply from OSREN MALAYSIA , really thank for he explaination

Here some demo i just done , my hometown here is raining , so very dirt , but u can see i just spray with clean water and the dirt just come off easily , almost 99% clean !!! this never happen on meg wax that i use , So with proper wax , u really no need what Shampoo Foam Guns , no need what high water pressure , all u need is , RM10-15 nozzle  biggrin.gif

Errr... It will trigger the parking brake IF you enabled brake hold and brake hold is engaged.

I heard  econ actually not every econ and it eat up more fuel?
*
Depends... If you are a light footed driver and drive at a relaxing pace, econ mode will help you save fuel.

If you are a fast driver, econ mode will most likely burn mode fuel for you as our econ mode slows the acceleration and air conditioning. This is because a lot of people who drive fast will tend to "tekan" their accelerator more aggressively than usual to compensate the slower acceleratuon and thus, burn more fuel.

I use econ mode 99% of the time as I like the slower acceleration in my daily drive. Only during aggressive overtaking would I disable the econ (merging in fast lane etc)

Update: I tried covering the sensor and playing with the mirror. It only works when it's dark outside and the car is not in reverse gear.

I just found another issue. Will bring this up at my 1k service but does anyone else have the same problem? The driver's floor creaks around the left side. You can push on it with your feet and it'll move and creak quite loudly.
*
Reverse gear confirm it will not darken as a safety measure. Tried covering the front sensor and it still doesn't work?

Never noticed the driver side floor creaking

It does work when the sensor is covered. So this means it'll only work when it's dark outside.
*
I may be wrong, but I think it's more like if the back sensor is getting a brighter light than the front? Not 100% sure coz never really tested it

Naah. Oil will maintain the price - checkout the other thread I did, now pinned at F&F main page tongue.gif

RON95 will either maintain at 2.30 or (small chance to) reduce to 2.25. Not tracking RON97 at the moment though...

The car coating comes with fishy smell is it?

Maybe the car coating is slippery and the cat likes to slide down your windshield? laugh.gif
