Ya...dunno if he has a 5.1 setup...he said "certain videos"...usually after calibration you just use master volume...why would the dialog stream so weak...

I seldom encounter this problem anymore even on my 2.1 setup...

any good android 5.1 box with 2G RAM and 16G/32G storage to recommend?
have a dilemma, heard android 6.0 isnt as steady compare to 5.1, but the latest cpu 912 are all come with android 6.0. Hardly see any android 5.1 with 2G ram (normally only 1G ram). so.. i am stuck.. dont know what to buy...

if you can wait, wait a bit for the remix io+ release, based on the rockchip rk3399 and mali 8 series gpu. the antutu benchmark during the prototype more than 70000. it is almost double the speed that most cpu 912 + mali gpu can offer. the ram is 4gb and 32 gb of storage.

rk3399 is available in taobao already. most important, it is still new android OS 6.0 or 7.0 untested. The price.. scary ler... way out of budget...

yes rk3399 is there but still depend on the android os itself and the quality of the box. remix os is one the stable I have tested. running those hypptv, aotg, iflix and other legal iptv apps without no issues.

No need to sweat too much...only minority may have issues...sooner or later developer need to make compatible with android 6 or get left behind...many alternatives around...all major apps should be working...

Fruitie has a Docooler 3/32GB for around RM 200 after discounts you may want to check it out...

Just get the Minix Neo U1 with the Neo A2 airmouse.. or the newer A3 remote if you can get your hands on it. It's a device that's been out for awhile, battle tested and cheaper than ever. Has 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, Android 5.1, can be rooted/unrooted at will and has a solid firmware with OTA updates. Lots of real world reviews on it, including mine..
