This is for firmware upgrade from android 6?
There are a few types of firmware, each is designed for different use.
There is one type of firmware called 'update' format, those are for use with updater and recovery. They don't erase your data partition, and thus you retain most of your config and apps. They may include special upgrading/migration scripts to maintain compatibility to your old config.
There is also this type to be used with usb cable and usb flashing tool. Before starting to flash, you can choose to erase or not erase the flash. Erasing the flash will mean all your customization are gone. But if you are coming from Android 6, usb flash a Android 7 rom without erasing flash can cause data incompatibility. You might experience crash if you install without erasing flash.
There are also the SD card format and TWRP backup format.
The links have got a few roms. But my guess it is not in 'update' format.
