anyone know where can get mxq pro 4k  with 3000 channels ?  mind to recommend me reliable seller/shop to buy?

We avoid discussing such here.. There's good ol Google or FB or the Garage sales section for such.. Pay at your own risk.. All illegal services can close up shops any day.. And oh yeah.. 3000 channels really? A touch greedy now are we.. Return to earth... laugh.gif

There are a few types of firmware, each is designed for different use.

There is one type of firmware called 'update' format, those are for use with updater and recovery. They don't erase your data partition, and thus you retain most of your config and apps. They may include special upgrading/migration scripts to maintain compatibility to your old config.

There is also this type to be used with usb cable and usb flashing tool. Before starting to flash, you can choose to erase or not erase the flash. Erasing the flash will mean all your customization are gone. But if you are coming from Android 6, usb flash a Android 7 rom without erasing flash can cause data incompatibility. You might experience crash if you install without erasing flash.

There are also the SD card format and TWRP backup format.

The links have got a few roms. But my guess it is not in 'update' format.

Normally those free live TV apps that has thousand of channels doesn't come with the box, unless boxes like Ubox/evpad but these boxes only has 15++ channels.

I have been using those free apps you mention for months. not to mention it has H265 channels.

Some people are so hardheaded that still living in their kodi life doesn't know one bit. LOL

ps: I won't share any of these apps I mention anymore. so don't care to ask.

Thx for the heads-up bro. I was curious whether this was the 'update' update or flash recovery update. Nevertheless, I'm gonna do some search / homework at those forums prior to actually updating my unit.. unless 6.0 is more stable, I'd remain it as it is. Currently, I just slap it with Nova Prime launcher and some widgets.. keeping it simple.

i got one M9S Pro similar to this MXQ but mine is 3G/32G android 7.1.2.
thinking to sell it cheap bundled with touchpad keyboard., if anyone interested can pm me as well. will sell the box without doing factory reset (if u know what i mean).

agree with above mentioned, poor wifi. already "downgraded" using minix neo u1 now.

Maybe you want to create a x92 thread. I see this device got more users now, we talk too many x92 specific things here then we cloud the discussion on other boxes. smile.gif

i think it is ok to discuss x92 here. it's good if more ppl here use the same box.

even like 4pda forum, there will be certain boxes more popular than others on certain period. i think X92, BB2, Mini M8S Pro are more popular currently.

Nah, it's okay.. There's a search feature.. Easier especially for newbies to have it all in one thread than scattered all over the forum.. Perhaps if more serious interest happens, can branch off.

As mentioned this box wifi is bad. If you are not depending on the wifi, you are ok. Free channels, don't hold high expectation. Good free channels do not come with high stability. Maybe able to use short while. You need to pay subscription to get consistent quality.

Maybe you can share with us where you can get those free channels after you get the box?

No offence, but as I know there is no free lunch on the world. biggrin.gif

Yes very true, even iptv subscription has grading. Some with high quality picture but need to paid higher price. It really depends on how much budget you had and to paid.

Create a new x92 thread and you can ask anything there. I can write endlessly about x92 firmware stuff.
