I used this box before. Bad wifi quality. If you use ethernet, no issue. Firmware is stable like rock. Never once it crashed. Same PCB as M9S pro.

I guess it is alright. I was using the wifi of the box connecting to my phone, then hopping over to internet ( my phone is acting like a wifi-repeater). In that configuration, the internet speed was stable enough.

But if just next to router, why don't use cable ?

i got one M9S Pro similar to this MXQ but mine is 3G/32G android 7.1.2.

Kodi and mobdro should already be there, original factory versions might be lagging behind the current versions. I don't use much of Kodi and mobdro though. I upgraded mine to Android 7 and installed AstroGo on it. That's my first box and I learnt a lot from it.

This box the wifi is good enough，handles both 2.4 and 5 Ghz. But there are feedback which they experienced hanging for the Android 7 firmware. Android 6 firmware is considered more stable.

A few other alternate firmwares are available. Maybe those are more stable but since such is an intermittent behaviour， one needs to use it long enough to be able to conclude.

Performance wise it is definitely more responsive compared to S905X based boxes，since this is a S912 box.

Not quite. When I follow your link，AstroGo is listed in play store as incompatible to my phone.

Looks more like they are restricting the usage of the app to more targeted devices.

Just like Google youtube for TV. When I go to play store to search it on the phone，one will not be able to find it.

P/s: funny that when i do the search on my tv box, it is listed.

So AstroGo is compatible with my TV box but not on my phone. LOL.

Have tried download Astro Go, Njoi fro Tutuapp? Have installed them on X7 Minix and tested, both play those free channels well... Best part in HD sumore

True.. The Play Store does act like that in some cases.. Good thing sites like apkmirror exist.

HD ? I seriously doubt so. How are you confirming/verifying that the content is in HD ?

Very nice and fuss-free... As for the HD part, unless they've upped their game. That's probably 480p being upscaled by the TV..
