I'm also disappointed when bought the iphone 7+ last October. Usually before the new iphone reach to MY, there is jb available.
This 10.1.1 jb was announced in Feb/Mar which 5 months after it released here. I wonder how long we are going to wait this year new iphones.

Those Chinese team called Pangu is the same said that 10.3.1 will be available soon. After research again, they said we will get it in August!

Yes, iphone to iphone full transfer would be to do a full backup with password in iTunes. The when you put in the new iPhone, choose to do a full restore which will then be prompted with backup password. Then follow through.

When you're a research team, would you burn your exploit just to make people happy? The exploit maybe can be saved for iOS 11 later on. If they release it just for 10.3.X, Apple might patch it. Exploits don't come easy these days. Some don't even share because black market bounty pays more for 0 day exploits.

This is why I don't mind to pay for jailbreak as long as there is future development and to keep the team funded. But the bounty pays more and too hard to ignore.

I can assure you, the percentage of people that willing to pay or donate to a jailbreak is super small. Majority of jailbreakers wants everything free. The drive for jailbreakers last time, app piracy. Even the app sold in Cydia also has been pirated. Where as the bounty for iOS exploits can go into millions of dollars.

True statement. The reason most ppl here jailbreak is to get paid apps / games for free, even the apps in Cydia also gets pirated
I did purchase a few Cydia apps last time (SleepFX, Barrel) but now too lazy to jailbreak already
