QUOTE(cucubud @ Feb 19 2017, 08:06 AM) I disagree with you on the fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner is working perfectly. If your thumb has dirt on it, the scanner tries to match it with the image you supplied during setup, it doesn't match, so it is rejecting the access. In this instance you are blaming the iPhone thumb scanner is not working. I say the security is very good. Same for wet fingers. You know that water can change the view of an object, causing the image to be distorted. This image will be slightly different from the original the iPhone has and thus, it will not allow access. The thumb scanner is setup as a security access to the iPhone. I agree with your comments completely. If I can add, it actually requires some practice and getting used to before perfecting the art of doing it right. Making a sweeping statement to condem something is someone's way of venting their frustration when things do not turn out right is an age old malaise.

This red iteration is a matter of preference and taste. What should be of concern is the chipping and discolourisation which will happen albeit not in large numbers like the black ones. That's food for thought before purchasing it.

QUOTE(RDoe @ May 23 2017, 10:02 AM) Nice, my thought exactly! Give us a nice light blue iPhone. Actually I fail to understand why all these arguments over which is better, iPhone or Android phones, is still going on. Don't you guys think it's a waste of time? Just use whichever suits our needs. Being humans, there is bound to be opinions. And sharing yours or even voicing out against any is alright. However, when one does that without rhyme or reason, that's where it tells on that person's character. To make matters worse, most times they have nothing to back up what they say. In the other thread, there is a handful of such characters trying to champion their own cause.

QUOTE(Ch3n_low @ Jun 20 2017, 10:03 AM) nope if you have the iphone 7... if you update to ios 11 sure lag I have the 7Plus and friends who have the 7s and the phones don't lag. Maybe yours does due to some technical reasons which is unfortunate for you. Btw, I also have other friends with the 6S Plus and they do not lag as well.

As a general statement, yes, iPhones', particularly the latest iterations, battery life is better. But same is very much dependent on real life usage and the areas that one is at. I get pretty good battery life from both my iOS and Android devices.

Rumours are that iPhone 7S/7S Plus will be launched in September and iPhone 8 in October. So, there is no way we here will get them in October. If you are eyeing the 8, be prepared to wait until December.

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Jul 5 2017, 09:18 PM) play store on an iphone ? Did you actually read what he stated? Or perhaps your comprehension of the language is a little lacking. Like I always said, read to understand. Don't just read to reply. This post has been edited by PeeEl: Jul 5 2017, 10:43 PM

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Jul 6 2017, 01:46 PM) sorry genius, i phailed my english i wonder why are we discussing android stuff here ? If you want to act smart, please know what you are talking about. When did anyone discuss about Android stuff here? The forummer whom you tried to chide was asking about Apple matters vis-a-vis iOS. It was you who digressed.

QUOTE(kiddokitt @ Jul 6 2017, 07:18 PM) No, that person wasn't asking about Android apps, rather he asked what iOS apps should he install that isn't found in Play Store. I suggested Apple Watch app ( to get him hooked on the ecosystem). Right on.

QUOTE(rai_fuzz @ Jul 9 2017, 06:12 PM) That easy? Consider lucky that they are willing to do a new unit replacement on the spot. If you buy from Machines for e.g., any flaw after you paid and opened the unit must be sent through service. No instant replacement. Not really. The practice is even if the box is opened, when there is something not right with the phone, so long as you have not stepped out of the shop, you can request for another set.

QUOTE(lisahasan @ Jul 9 2017, 07:57 PM) But for this case, maybe luck. As we have stepped out the shop I was replying to his second point. And yes, you should go and buy a lottery.

QUOTE(rai_fuzz @ Jul 9 2017, 08:08 PM) When I bought mine at Machines KLCC, the sales guy said this to me. Once the package is opened, it has to follow the replacement / repair procedure. Again, maybe it can differ according to the retailer or sales person. You have to put your foot down. So long as you have not left the shop, they cannot force the flawed unit down your throat. Those days there was a 7 day replacement policy but I believe that was done away with.
