Do you guys know where is the nearest Apple Service Center? There's one at Times Square if I'm not mistaken. I usually just send to Machines at Northpoint. |

Guys, can't decide which carrier should i tie myself for 24 months. Digi or Celcom? Basically the cost of ownership after 24 months for both of them are the same.

Basically the cost of ownership after 24 months for both of them are the same. Any carrier is fine. If there is any consolation, I have tied with Celcom for 2 years myself. I only paid an extra RM10 every month for 2 years but I saved RM1k straight on for the device. |

My sister in law just bought from digi today. Request for tempered glass but unable to stick at upper right corner. Sales guy said its because of tempered glass issue. So we left and went other shop for tempered glass. Unfortunately same issue. Came back digi store and they replace new phone.

Consider lucky that they are willing to do a new unit replacement on the spot. If you buy from Machines for e.g., any flaw after you paid and opened the unit must be sent through service. No instant replacement. |

The practice is even if the box is opened, when there is something not right with the phone, so long as you have not stepped out of the shop, you can request for another set. |

When I bought mine at Machines KLCC, the sales guy said this to me. Once the package is opened, it has to follow the replacement / repair procedure. Again, maybe it can differ according to the retailer or sales person. |

If in brand new condition and again there is defects on the product, it means that it is a lemon set. There is no reason for a customer to accept it. If me, I will certainly demand for a brand new replacement. A lot of merchant set a lot of terms and conditions by their own such as no return or no refund etc. It does not mean that in law whatever they say it just simply count. Consumers need to be aware of self rights in order not to be "bullied" unfairly. I purchased a USB-c multi adapter from a Apple authorised dealer in lion city before. The adapter USB port was having prob which it does not recognise my USB device if the device is 100% plug in. But if 75% in then sometime it detected sometimes it did not. So I went back to the shop the next day to demand a replacement. Again the staff insisted that any problem I need to bring down to Apple service center. I told them that this is brand new item and it is less than 1 day of purchase already had problem. And I told them if I can go to Apple service centre and they can do it too. Why would I do it? They were reluctant to change for me. But I was very firmed and eventually they got no choice but to change one for me. I tested the new one was working before leaving the shop. After that, I never buy anything from Apple authorised dealer which I would rather buy from Apple online instead since it comes with free shipping anyway and within 14 days no matter what item even a cable I can also get replacement. Even dead pixel or light bleeding etc one can also request for replacement. I knew that a lot would want to get credit card 0% interest installment etc so they buy from the shop. Too bad bolehland Apple Store does not have it. But lion city Apple online no issue. Even education pricing can get credit card 0% interest installment. |

Nowadays I only will buy things like screen protector etc from authorised dealer. Because I can get free application. And if they screw up the application, they need to compensate by reapplying a new one.
If self application, if screw up, makan diri. |

I think it depends on seller or merchant itself, whether replace with new one even thou u have stepped out or wont take any responsible as customer did not check properly before left. |
