if the fund(s) that you wanted is not in the 'discounted SC' list....
get the fund from the same FH that are from the 'discounted SC' list, then later intra switch to the fund of your choice from the same FH....

............
p/s June 2020 data still not in hence cannot comment. But looking at my port at a glance, I think it went well too in June 2020.

p p/s the 5% & 1% combined in two months is equivalent to three & half months my basic salary. Christmas came early this year. And the fun part is; I do not have to pay taxes on these gains. Being an investor > businessman >> salariiman.
*
thumbup.gif good for you and hope others are good too.
as for me...at 50% FI, 35% reits & 15% Asia Pac = YTD no growth smile.gif ....

Yes... Just like any other assets that we have.... It is only in numbers..... Until we really wanted to "cash" it for use to exchange for some other things...
Even the amount in saving a/c... It is just numbers

Saving acc is different with UT.
UT now xuzen earn 1 month of the salary.
But next day can loss 10 month of the salary

But saving account now u have 1 month of salary
tmr u still have 1 month of ur salary will not fluctuated
*
from his post, he mentioned equivalent....
it is just a number to represent his comparison value (which is not made known to us), thus he use salary as a subject in his post.
If you compared Yr saving a/c has an equivalent to 1kg of gold now, but if you did not exchange it now, it may not has an equivalent of 1kg of gold next month too

at times, i think some people will just follow this rules....what ever that will make one sleep better or let him/her forgo the urge to frequently checking on the indexes.

thus if you have any of this in your heart now,....time to do a reflection.

Are you expecting some markets corrections to be coming soon? if YES, then what is your expected % of markets "pull back"?

Haha no la If I withdraw profit only It’s too little.

I cashed out half of my greater China and 20% of my principal Asia Pacific dynamic.

Profit for greater China is 15% (DCA after COVID) and 5% for principal Asia pacific dynamic (DCA for one year already, hence it was greatly impacted by the March crash).

It’s very hard to decide whether to sell now or keep holding, but my house will be done end of this year and I need some cash, hence it helped me in the decision.

with 4 out of 5 UT funds you holds....are CHINA focused/related,

to me that is a very high risk portfolio, but without knowing more about your risk capacity,....i just tembak tembak shoot....."try to diversify your port" or move some to FI funds.

Personally I feel bond is a waste of time. I aim for highest return equity with low volatility relative to it's peer funds. But this is definitely not a set n forget strategy.
*
bond has a place in a portfolio.....thus to me not a waste of time...
some bond funds has better YTD returns than some EQ funds

yes, they are not a set n forget strategy....applicable to both FI and EQ funds too

could that be due to your
EQ 25%
FI 50%
Money market 25%??

but as long as you are happy with that allocation.....it is OK

Hello. Since the FD rates are notorious. I'm looking at the next safe/decent investment.

Are bond funds in FSM a good buy now?
*
i think it is, for usually it was mentioned, when interest rates goes up, FI nav goes down.
as the current interest rate trend is down and the rises is not in the near future....so i think FI is a go place to replace some of FD.
but as posted by MUM at post 21871, page 1094 earlier, it shows not all FI are equal...

Early this year there was a Managed Portfolio promotion by FSM, if you subscribe to their MP you’ll get lifetime 0% subscription fee.

I just confirmed with FSM that I can change the RSP amount and I can still enjoy the 0% subscription fee.

This means that the only fee that I have to pay is 0.50% management fee per annum.

For the MP one of the fund is KGF, if I want to enter KGF normally I’ll have to pay 1.75% sales charge. It also comes with 1.50% annual management fee.

If I were to invest through MP, I can bypass all that and only pay 0.50% annual management fee. Is there anything I’m missing?
*
other than those mentioned by tadashi987,
this is what i thought too....
if you wanted KGF and think that KGF (or any other funds) is going to be great in the coming future....
if you buy your self, you can buy a much as you like to suit your % of allocation...
but if you rely on MP to buy, you cannot control the % of allocation.

look at the % of KGF being allocated in the MP,....is that % allocated in the MP is of the same desire as yours?

KGF is just my example to illustrate the scenario, I do not have any preference on the portfolio allocation.
*
my previous post is also an example to illustrate the scenario where, funds selection and % of allocated in MP may not suit yours in your own desire portfolio
