currently fsm pays 3.5% for parking facility, isnt this is better than putting in the bank saving account earning a miserable 0.5% ? what is the catch of parking facility in fsm.
*
If you want to compare that, ...some had mentioned in other treads that, there are other MM funds that pays more than FSM..

the catch is
1) it takes about 2 business days to withdraw from FSM
2) it's not protected by PIDM

if both are fine with you, ya, it's ok. it is not bad when compared to bank savings account.

there are other options similar to the parking facility as mentioned by someone else, with slightly better returns.

is it advisable to do the switching out to other fund?
(do you need the investment mandate of that fund to be in your diversified portfolio?
Example, if that fund is solely a malaysia equity fund and you only hv that fund that provides you coverage of Msia markets, ...then if you need msia to be in your portfolio too, then you can consider to keep it if the performance is on par with its peers)

Is it profitable and how to calculate that?
(In your FSM account, you can see if that fund is currently making profits or not)

may I sidestep a little

has anyone open a singapore fsm account, whats ur experience ?

the reason i am asking is clear, fsm offers the lowest fees on selling. more often than not, there are hidden fees not known to users, until the end of the day, an heart attack is known.

so detail terms and conditions of fsm spore trading account related would be welcome.
