Does this matter eh?
Yeah, i understand that the funds are quite "high" right now, but my time horizon is easily 10-15 years. not gonna sell it. So i believe that it can go even higher.

Also, I'm not going to stop topping up or sell my msia fund to buy into these global tech funds.

I will just reduce a little in Msia, then split it into buying some global tech funds.

for example, my normal monthly dca for msia fund is 500.

I will just split into 300 for msia fund and 200 to buy into the global tech fund, and continue pumping in 500 monthly for the next few years.

wholesales fund only for sophisticated investor.... brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

why dun just 200 into msia, 200 into tech n 100 into RHB CMF2 (stand by purpose if the tech fund dip, can everage down it)?

or if u got unlimited credit , just top into bond fund at the same fundhouse with ur tech fund to fully utilise credit to offset the sales charge.

opinion only, up to 2... icon_idea.gif

*
No
If previously u ever switch equity to bond, u will get credit.
In future, if u wanna switch bond to equity (in the same fund house for equity n bond), u can use this credit to off set the sales charge.
Example : United income plus to United global tech

GUIDANCE NOTE ON PROVISION OF INVESTMENT ADVICE
Effective Date upon 1st Issuance: 30 Dec 2020
3.1 If I discuss on specific stocks on blogs, forums or other social media, would I be required to be licensed to provide such investment advice?

As discussed in paragraph 2.2, the SC will take into account the overall circumstances in making the assessment.
However, the SC is more likely to consider your discussion on specific stocks on blogs, forums or other social media as an investment advice if they involve the provision of recommendation or opinion which may induce your reader or audience to take an action (e.g. buy, sell or hold) regarding the specific stock.

Your activity of giving investment advice is likely to require a license under the CMSA, if that activity is considered as carrying on a business. Some of the factors that may be taken into consideration in determining whether an activity is carried on as a business are discussed in paragraph 2.2.
Any communication involving providing recommendations or opinions which are likely to induce a person to take any action or position (e.g. buy, sell or hold) regarding a particular class, sector, or instrument in relation to securities or derivatives, is likely to be considered as “advising others concerning securities or derivatives”.

That's why I won't give much advices on which specific fund to buy, which fund is the best etc.

I don't want that people to blame me if the investment goes south.

All my posts or advices are merely based on experiences of holding that particular fund in my portfolio.

Is it applicable to RHB bond to RHB equities? I always see there is switching charges of RM25 for RHB funds..
*
i think this credit system is FSM try to waive ur sales charge if u ever switch from equity to bond , then switch from bond to equity again.

this rm25 is charge by RHB , dun have any connect to FSM (pay to RHB)

so, i seldom invest in RHB, if buy oso i buy n sell only, seldom switch.... biggrin.gif

u try make a switch in RHB (from equity to bond, then bond to equity), see got charge ?...... sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

i think should got charge.

switch equity to bond (RHB charge u 25)
n u get credit
switch equity to bond (RHB charge u 25, but FSM waive ur sales charge)

Hi sifus, happy new year.

Was wondering can anyone clarify how funds are priced based on the forward pricing and historical pricing (RHB CMF2) methods.

The following is an illustration of a fund's prices as seen on FSMOne's website.

Tuesday 9am = 0.45
Wednesday 9am = 0.50
Thursday 9am = 0.55

Assuming I make a transaction to buy at Wednesday 9am, what will be my actual transaction price if I purchase using i.FPX and ii.RHBCMF2?
*
if u buy with RHB CMF2 (historical pricing), price is yesterday price.....mean on the spot will know the unit/RM u will get (RHB CMF2)
if u buy fund A (forward pricing) with this RHB CMF2, u have to wait market close today baru tahu berapa NAV (normally is tomorrow u will know)

Hi Guys,

Need some guidance. Can anyone tell me what's "Available Credit(s)"?

I noticed there's an amount in there after doing intra fund switch.

Does the credit has any expiry date?

Thanks.
*
Every time u switch equity to bond in the same fund house, u will get credit. U can use this credit to off set the sale charge next time if u switch from bond to equity in the same fund house again.
e.g: switch affin balanced fund to affin select bond i will get certain amount of credit.
Later i switch principal bond to principal global titan, i can use this credits to off set sales charge n get 0 % sales charge, provide ur credit is enough

No expiry

Many thanks.
So the credit can only be use for intra fund switch (same fund house) from bond to equity only?

Don't quite get understand why credit is given, i thought intra fund switch does not incur any sale charges , whether it's bond > equity or vise versa.
*
Ya, for intra fund. But i think RHB got switching charge (25). Others not sure but mostly no la.

Same fund house equity switch normally is free (i only know rhb got switching charge), but got limited or not i dun know bcoz i seldom do, a few times only per year. 😁😁😁.

Had a chat with my friend who is a Lic Financial Planner. His in-house view is in favour of Malaysian equities. As such I will be DCA'ing into KAF Tactical Fund starting this month.

My 1H2021 port will look something like this:

Uncle Sam - 15% ( United Global Tech / Franklin US )
Gold - 15% ( United Golden )
Mehsia - 15% ( KAF Tactical )
Tionghua - 20% ( AM A-Share )
FI - 35% ( Amanah Shariah Trust )
