Anyhow, for the Affin Quantum, its mandate is no longer restricted to SME companies.
*
Why sector categories still small cap?
FSM should change it 🤣🤣🤣

Previously its mandate clearly mentioned that the fund only invests in companies less than USD 3 or 2 bil (cannot remember the exact figure).

Maybe the fund benchmark is using MSCI AC Asia (ex Japan) Small Cap Index, that's why it is considered as small cap fund.

I see, never thought of checking it’s recovery performance
Was looking into the recent 3 months performance and the sector allocation. Kenanga highest allocation would be financial and TA would be tech.
60% already in FD, add another 20% in FI. The left over 20% spread to 3 allocation, 5% healthcare, 10% global/tech, 5% Asia

I’m not a sifu but I would like to give opinions too. I feel this would be a safer allocation compare to mine.
*
If u oledi got tech fund in ur portfolio, why don't just skip the TA small cap, financial sector oledi hit kaw2 by covid19, may b can consider kenanga small cap. But the volatility is high o, remember dca if wanna add

I think a dip of 5% - 8% is enough for her to panic.
Looking at past performance of a few selected funds, around 9%-11% returns I think is reasonable.
*
demi kebahagiaan ibu anda, better choose the fund with low volality.......return low a bit (around 6% yearly ) is ok, important must consistant ..... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
just like my wife when i starting invest in UT with my children yearly ang pow........alternatively a few months ask me the return..... doh.gif

i become pressure in long term..... rclxub.gif

she still believe in FD rather than UT,...... whistling.gif

Which is why, demi kebahagiaan ibu beliau, just let her put the money into FD as she likes, it's her money to start with.

If she feels want to grow the money, with inheritance money, she could afford to hire a wealth/financial planner to give professionally certified advices.

I won't feel comfortable with other people money.
*
me too.
thats why i just recommend my wife money market fund , but seen like she prefer FD (OTC)...... doh.gif
now my wife advance a bit, know how to place eFD ..... rclxms.gif

You are right, maybe I need to rethink all of this, that big dip in March is a very good example. Yea, pretty much is a one off lump sum investment.

money market fund n fixed income if lum sum is ok,
but if equity fund, better DCA......selamat sikit.... laugh.gif

The reason I’m asking about TA small cap is because Eastspring small cap not performing recently and if continue to next year, might sell off and consider TA small cap
*
i think TA got foreign expose but Eastspring/Kenanga is purely in msia.
TA almost same with Eastspring in term of return (might b lower) but volaility higher than Eastspring .
with such high volality, i prefer kenanga..... brows.gif
cut in short
TA got foreign expose
Eastspring low volality but return almost same with TA
Kenanga high volality (almost same TA ) but high return....

agree? brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

people always said buy low (in Eastspring case if u believe it will pick up in future) sell high..... brows.gif

u want TA if u like freely switch between TA small cap n tech fund? brows.gif

may b i will switch (with the help of credit system) some of the small cap to kenanga n slowly dca (bond to equity)

my opinion only, decision is with u...... whistling.gif
