Fitch Solution lowers Malaysia GDP forecast

UALA LUMPUR: Fitch Solutions has downgraded its growth forecast for Malaysia this year to -5% from -4.5% previously, according to its client note on Monday.

โ€œDownward revision was prompted by the worsening third wave of coronavirus infections, posing risks to the ongoing growth recovery, โ€ it said.

A little bit of everything. My portfolio has high volatility. It can go up or down quite a lot. Dragging the portfolio performance is mining n gold.

Just wondering how many portfolios are you guys holdings?

I've invested in AmanahRaya Syariah, Affin Hwang Select Bond / Balanced Fund (sold off recently), Principal Greater China, TA Global Tech.

Planning to add a local small cap and healthcare into existing portfolios. Any recommended funds that I should be adding?

Just starting to invest with FSM for a month, the amount is not substantial. Current allocation are somewhat messy sweat.gif

But I intend to take on fund with more equities allocation in diversified sector especially with high growth opportunities.

the composition seem diversified......
with the FI at just 15% at the final portfolio....

no right or wrong,...just individual preferences....
just wondering how much it can helps to "balance/lessen the volatility" your portfolio in case of correction in the 85% of your equities?
(the annualised ROI of the FI is about estimated to be 6%, thus at 15% allocation ...it will just gives about 1% ROI to you portfolio)
will you be using the 15% of the FI as a war chest too at correction time or you will still holds the 15% FI no matter what?

Should you reckon that I hold a higher % of FI? I might look to bump my FI allocation to somewhere around 25-30%.

If it matters, my portfolio is also invested with Eastspring Investment Islamic Fund via Stashaway Simple. I deposited a lump sum to park my cash after my FD matured.

no, i would not suggest that you should hold higher % of FI....
it is all up to individual preferences.
my post is just to tell you to think of the consequences of having that 15% allocation....
if you are comfortable with it, then ok

at 80%FI, 20% EQ

CIMB PRS termed that as "Conservative"
https://www.principal.com.my/sites/default/...ve_Fund_PHS.pdf

i think as long as one is comfortable with the expected returns and volatility the composition gives out,...then ok
