heres a nice read on which RAM
https://premiumbuilds.com/ram/best-ram-for-ryzen-3000/
tldr: sweet spot ddr4 3600 cl16
value: ddr4 3200 cl14
*
Actually Techpowerup seems to suggest otherwise:

Unless you use single channel memory that is icon_idea.gif

Some explanation:

QUOTE
Overall, when looking at the application averages, there's barely a five percent performance gain to be had going from DDR4-2400 to DDR4-3600. Once you take a closer look at the individual tests, it becomes apparent that some apps simply like high memory clock, whereas others prefer tighter timings over the highest clock, and then there are those with barely any performance differences between memory speeds at all.
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-zen-...enchmark/5.html

IINM - as long as it is at least 3000MHz dual channel, then it's all OK icon_idea.gif

Fast and efficient, Poslaju is hopeless.

Strangely enough PosLaju was the most reliable one for me sweat.gif

Although for some reason my shipment seems to stuck on 'processing item' for some time sweat.gif

Today mostly RAM with higher frequency, but with higher timing also no good. Just get a 3200 Mhz but as low as possible with the timing eg: G-Skill Memory Model F4-3200C14Q-32GTZR, 14-14-14-34 which is 8GB x4 kit.  smile.gif
*
Actually Ryzen favors higher frequency rather than timings:

I got same RAM and it stable at 3200 18-19-19-46 1.25v
Maybe it depends on mobo compatibility.
Isn't that show 3600 and 3200 better than 4000 because they have better timings?
*
Ah sorry my bad - didn't notice the 4000mhz ones sweat.gif

Just found out the culprit, it was AVG issue. biggrin.gif
*
This is why I use Windows Defender instead of any third party antivirus software - current antivirus software tends to break things due to the implementation (i.e. they are very deeply hooked into the OS and often uses legacy APIs) icon_idea.gif

The newer BIOS probably fix that.

Will be building 2 Ryzen 3 3200G in coming days, not sure if 3200MHz will work out of the box.  biggrin.gif

My G. Skill XMPs just fine on the same Steel Legend board though icon_idea.gif

Guys, is it the best to use the AMD Ryzen "High Performance Power Settings" instead of the "Balanced Power Settings" to maximise the cpu performance and get the max boost?

Which power settings are you guys on?
*
I'm using Ryzen Balanced Power Settings as I think it's the recommended setting by AMD icon_idea.gif

Long gone were the days of the windows OS that are tied to your mobo & cpu tongue.gif

really dreaded those yesteryears that you almost have to reinstall your windows or jump thru few hoops to make your OS working everytime you have a major change of HW like Mobo or CPU
*
Same here - my Windows 10 worked flawlessly even with a platform swap (3570K -> 3600) tongue.gif

Although I did a clean install since I wanted to install a fresh copy of Windows on the SSD icon_idea.gif

I wonder why not just buy a wireless card instead? hmm.gif

Ignore the X570M Pro 4, the VRM is crappier than a good B450. doh.gif

Go for MSI B450M Mortar Max, comes with 2 M.2 slots.

Does the MAX variant even sold here? hmm.gif

Cant comment much on the stability of WiFI on these board since i dont own any of them.

Stability always LAN > WiFI  brows.gif

WiFi 6 is just the new naming convention or fancy name for WiFi standard AX, so yes you need to have AX support router to make use of it.

AX router is very expensive and i dont think it worth to get one right now. Of coz you still can get the mobo that support one :
1. so in the future when u upgrade ur router u don need to get new adapter  icon_idea.gif
2. still compatible with current WiFi 5 standard
*
...or instead of buying boards with WiFi built-in - you can just buy an AX WiFi card from Aliexpress:
