Anybody got problem with X570 pair up Ryzen 3700x? Every time I press the power button, it will run the fan to full speed then only goes down back
*
If you have low speed fan, it wont be audible,
I have one server fan, it will ramp up the speed to 100% for less than a second before going down, no matter what mobo i use.

Thanks mate for your detailed explanation.

Just wondering how do I connect all my chassis fans to mobo so that I can control them through the motherboard? My motherboard fan pin header is far located towards the end of the i/o panel. The wire not long enough so currently two fans in front is not working ☹️☹️

Should I get a fan controller or fan splitter? Worry would fry the fan header if using splitter. Or just connect to psu directly?
*
Your mobo fan header will support up to 1 ampere, meaning you can connect 4x 12V fan with 0.25A.
if you connect to PSU directly, the fan will spin at full speed due to PSU supply full 12V, instead of controlled by your mobo fan control logic.

1. AMD cheapo Ryzen 3 can beat Intel Core i7 and i5 in gaming already publicity to pee on Intel 10th Gen
2. Technically AMD does not support 3950X on X470 chipset also, but I see almost all boards released has the CPU on support list
3. probably someone asked, so they explained. No need play U turn card, since even X370 can support up to Zen2 R7-3000 as of now depending on manufacturer.
*
You probably means X370, but even the lowly A320 ITX board support 3950x support https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-A32...K/HelpDesk_CPU/

Hardware Unboxed take on AMD discontinuing Zen 3 support on B450:

IMHO I think the problem really lies on AMD's lack of communication and miscalculating their competitors product strategy - I think they really need to work on these two icon_idea.gif
*
AMD never mentioned 400 chipset to support 3rd gen Zen and beyond 2020. https://www.techpowerup.com/246352/amd-anno...he-b450-chipset

I was going to buy B450 itx mobo a few days ago, luckily i re-read the news again and decided the cancel it, gonna buy X570 matx lol

IF there's no physical limitation , AMD could undo the damage or wait form mobo maker magic, all A320 mobo support 3950x with bios update, that's unofficial support from mobo maker.

More like buying Ferrari but no tyres at all to drive it?
They could just release separate bios which support different chip by group if it is really BIOS size limitation. But AMD needs to think about manufacturers as well and support wise.
*
That's what mobo maker are doing by support Matisse, by omitting the older CPU support plus with less fancy GUI.
for example from MSI https://www.msi.com/blog/the-latest-bios-fo...ies-motherboard

U can consider Gigabytes ITX X570 board, too.
It's 'just' RM920 and pretty good.
Their margin surely ain't very high on this board.

Or wait for B550's n see what ITX/MATX boards you could be getting.
*
I'll wait for cheaper B550 ITX for my secondary PC, or wait for BIOS magic....

I have too much HDD/SSD lying around plus i need 4 slot DIMM, Asrock x570 matx has all i needed, even came with optional TB3 and m2 wifi slot.

lower end mobo usually does not come with that much of SATA ports and USB3.2 support

Anyone has any idea why after installing the drivers, YouTube videos keep glitching out?

Also, the app freeze still happens especially on browsers sad.gif

most likely the VP9 hardware acceleration broken

what browser? GPU model? youtube default playback format?
Now youtube seems default to AV1, you can force it to VP9 here https://www.youtube.com/account_playback just tick AV1 for SD.

Or fallaback to h264 by forcing it via extension https://blog.kylemanna.com/media/force-yout...c-with-h264ify/

I'm using Brave browser, GTX 960, YT default is "Auto-Select".

Tried switching to AV1 for SD, no dice. However I disabled the hardware acceleration feature on Brave and the problem is gone.

Now the thing that remains is the browser becomes non-responsive for like 10 seconds at random intervals.
*
what website? pc spec? cpu/gpu utilization during non-responsive ?
either buggy browser or poorly optimized, aaaand java script coin miner.

I have a very weird problem, I am using Ryzen 5 3600 on tomahawk, my Gpu is Zotac 1070 Ti non AMP (I can't find it on zotac website), my gpu comes with 2 fan, one of the fan acting weird by spinning to the max occasionally even though during idle, it can goes for several minutes causing very irritating noise. I can't seems to control that particular fan with Firestorm though.

At the end I have to disconnect the fan and leave only one fan operational.
*
the pwm cable might not be properly secured, without pwm signal the fan will run at 100% speed. check for any loose connector or exposed metal in the connector.

OK I will check and reconnect the cable and test it again, fyi the troubling fan is the second fan where there are only 3 cables connecting to it, the one missing I think is the speed sensor which is only connected to the first fan.
*
pwm signal is needed by all fans, where the speed sensor is only needed in 1 fans, else the speed reading will become hay wired, doubled/tripled rpm reading.
thats pretty normal in y fan cable.

Checked cable is ok, nothing seems to be broken, reattached to the fan and test, still same, second fan spin at full speed.
*
you can try to swap the connector, if the fan still same running at full speed, it is broken, time to rma.

im out of idea lol,
do monitor the GPU utilization after you reinstalled driver. and most gpu utility wont be able to control fan speed. as far as i know.

what do you mean by splice?

re-de the wiring, remove the insulation and re-crimp the terminal, but it can be only done by professional as the tool and terminal(connector pins) is quite rare.

Ryzen 5 4600H destroys Intel laptops.

But when i visiting most of the IT shops, 95% of their lappy are Intel inside, htpc, mini pc, ect,
Pre-ryzen era may be it was acceptable because intel still a better choice, now still no difference at all.

Zotac used to had very nice line up of Ryzen mini pc, now only have TWO of them, two.

HP online shop selling 39 lappy, 38 are intel inside. notworthy.gif

Ryzen lappy are like legendary pokemon.

Once stock clears. Things will change. Many people are either don't know much it performs and already "brainwashed" by Intel. It will take time.

https://ownsnap.com/new-hp-asus-lenovo-dell...tally-revealed/

I wouldn't touch Intel until they have something that is actually good. Like Sandy Bridge days, AMD is not even close on keeping up. I always recommend price/performance

Sandy Bridge to Sky Lake = Intel
Kaby Lake = Intel until Ryzen comes out (depends on your usage)
Coffee Lake vs Ryzen 2nd gen = Depends on your usage. Gaming = Intel, Work = AMD

Today = AMD on everything. Wait for Comet Lake. Leaked Comet Lake benchmarks isn't appealing enough.
*
unless they priced their cpu competitively and at least 6 cores without mad power draw, then i will consider it.

Now they're just another space heater in disguise.

I'm afraid if I find by myself without conformation from others, I scared that I would messed up with the wrong drivers installation sweat.gif
*
bruh, go to amd website download the matching mobo series, eg B550, just download b550 chipset driver.
they're fool proof actually, they will work from A320 to x570, the driver files aren't a lot and they packed everything into one installer.
