I had seen ppl commenting on Bezza's FB page about car dying when parking, crossing bump, etc.

When the RPM gets really low, then the whole car just died.

Not sure if this is just the first batch production or newer batches still facing this issue.

yup, i noticed that too.
why do people always go for Ocean Blue for Bezza?
anything i missed out, or just pure personal preference?

Nothing special, like you said just a personal preference😂 but if perodua have fire red like proton or dark ruby red like Honda city, I might consider it hehe thumbup.gif

Hi fellas, between the Bezza Advance and the Saga Premium, (new one, not the old FLX) which one is the better buy ?

1) Saga looks a lot better than Bezza.

2) Saga is bettee to drive, better handling and more comfortable than Bezza.

3) Saga is roughly RM 5K cheaper than Bezza.

BUT...

1) Bezza is more fuel efficient.

2) Bezza is safer. 5 Star NCAP vs 4 Star NCAP

3) Bezza has more tech and leather.

4) Perodua generally has better service & maintenance costs as well as less quality issues, though this is not always the case.

So yeah, its not so cut and dry between the two. Any useful info that could tip the scales in either cars favor could be useful and would be appreciated.

Agree with your point there except I think bezza looks nicer than the new saga. All is base on your personal peference. Also look on the long term such as resale value and after sales services. Best is if you can test drive both and you decided which one to pick.

I know this is purely and highly based on personal preference, and im not trying to be a troll..

Still in my own personal opinion i must say i think the bezza (with high "butt" and all) is alot more sporty looking than the new saga, which to me doesnt look very inspiring when I've seen it on the road (saga looks a bit boring). But just me.

That said i cant really add much constructive feedback to your question except the following considerations :

1) VVT vs. VVT-i , I'm not sure, will it make a big difference?

2) the myvi has pretty high secondhand (resale) value due to its popularity. Personally im hoping the bezza will ride on Perodua's current popularity and also turn out to have a high valuation. Correct me if im wrong, but i dont think the same could be said of Proton.

Thats just my 2 cents

i wanted bright yellow cos was driving a black car, so blue was the closesr. Red reminds me of taxi somehow

When I told my wife that i saw an article about bezza is used as taxi, she straight away exclude red colour from her preferences (she preferred sugar brown, ocean blue and lava red). Finally we opt for blue, because our dealer said need to wait for sugar brown stock.

Don't let what others say affect your decision when it comes to color selection.

In general when you look at color choices for cars, you will observe the following - Chinese prefer to buy black/darker colors or silver color (somehow they think that these colors are easier to maintain, easier to resell) whereas Malays and Indians are more adventurous - brighter/striking colors.

This is not to sound racist, but if you're a Chinese and you decide to go with brighter colors, your Cinapek friends would probably mock you. Note that I'm a Chinese myself, I own the Ocean Blue and I've been constantly teased by a few friends who have narrow mindsets or practice annoying stereotypical ways of thinking.

In short, just buy what you feel like it! It's your car! icon_rolleyes.gif

The other day I ran into a red Bezza which looked pretty cool due to its black rims. That's a sexy combo!

me myself are currently using Saga FLX SE '13 with the CVT gearbox - for me, it was a really bad choice. The ATF oil (gear oil) itself is so expensive, will cost u RM240 (RM60/liter, saga needs 4 liter!)

but for myvi & bezza ATF oil only around RM80

will get bezza advance & join this group later, hehe

One of my wife coworker just knew about me booking for a bezza. Suddenly he say bezza got so many problem, flat passenger seat, gearbox problem, ugly booty, etc. I just keep quiet. I suspect he is a proton fan boy. The next day he bash bezza again and try to make me regret my decision cool2.gif . When I ask what he drive, he say he just buy a proton persona recently. Aha, now I know the reason. For me, buying a car is a personal choice of what you want. The reason I choose bezza is because it is fuel economic, affordabale and perodua got a good after sales services. smile.gif

I have both proton last generation and bezza advance. So I'm qualified to give a good comparison.
Proton, good: more comfortable seats, more powerful aircon. I prefer hydraulic powered steering coz it is more comfortable when making minor adjustments, better handling-you feel more in control when steering.

Bezza, good: better fc, quieter engine and cabin, I prefer auto than cvt coz auto more responsive, and its a safer car coz got vsc

If not for safety proton is a good buy overall. But bezza wins at the end.
