If for you, which one will you pick?

Miix 510 or Miix 520 or Surface Pro?

Now? I'd probably go for a 520, and extend the warranty afterwards (I think you can do that with Lenovo, maybe).

I did checked with Lenovo customer service. Unfortunately, we can't extend in Malaysia(some other countries - yes)

For the pen, any recommendation for Miix 520 if want to get a spare one?

Yes, you can extend the warranty as I had extended mine. However, it is not that simple.

The issue is the Extended Warranty Pack 'does not' officially cover for Miix 520 at the time I purchased it in mid March 2018.

I tried to activate  the extended warranty online but fails. So I email to Lenovo customer for help. They need the scan copy of the receipt and info on the extended warranty pack.

It took them about a month to rectify / update my warranty status. Below is my current warranty status.

I do not know whether they have improve the process or not.

1) How much do you buy for another year of warranty?

2) Can only extend for another year? Is there any option like extend 2 years?

3) Where do you buy the extended warranty package?
Btw, I saw you stated the Miix 520 comes with Active Pen instead of Active Pen 2? Is it confirmed as it should be Active Pen 2 for Miix 520.

The PB? It's not a Type-C PD PB though, just a normal "laptop" powerbank (that works for everything that charges on 19V/3.42A = 65W).

It's slightly less then RM300 and you can get it either from Lazada or Lelong. Myself I got it from the Brightstar Malaysia online shop, best online price I've seen for it.

There's also the Apacer B222, which is pretty much just a re-labelled PQI. It's slightly more expensive though.

And yes, I just tested it yesterday and it works fine with the Miix. Don't expect it to charge fully from zero though, you'll get more like 30-40% at most... but considering the size of the PB, that's probably enough.

As a bonus, it does come with an Acer tip for it (that looks like it would fit your Switch) so you can use that Type-C for something more productive lol.

Hmm something really weird happened to my 510 .... wireless seems like suddenly not working ... Tried

1) Connect to my mobile hotspot
2) Restart
3) Airplane mode on off
4) Wifi off on
5) Try again after an hour

All cannot work ... pretty sure my wifi is ok coz my dad's pc is working fine and my mom is streaming android box as usual ...

Then lucky my work got give a usb - ethernet converter, used that and connect with lan cable then ok ...

Today try wifi again then ok .... hmm ... weird

If it happens again, try reinstalling or updating the WiFi drivers? If that doesn't fix it, then you'll probably need to go to Lenovo.

I got mine from Sunway Pyramid .... suddenly forget the shop name but it's very famous for phone skins ...it's lifetime warranty ... anytime u feel tak syok with the protector, bring back to them and they will change new .... its more like a skin ... of course they do not have anything fitting for Miix (maybe now have i not sure) so they custom cut for me last time .... using since I got my Mixx till now ... so far so good ... i got matte ...

Maybe I say like this then others can remember the shop name .... top floor near the IT area
