Below is the snapshot of my Miix 520 temp in my room....no aircon. For me, it is acceptable temp.

After played Star Craft II for 1 hour

[attachmentid=9664447]

May be today weather is cooler a bit that's why the temp didn't reached 70

depends on how demanding are you regarding speed and what you are doing with it. im currently using sandisk U3 card, it's doing about 100 read / 90 write, which doing pretty well with loading and saving Photoshop file.

if you only need it for basic video storage or work processing, a branded regular class 10 should do fine.

You need two things:

1. A volt meter to determine which end is +ve and -ve and mark the battery using marker pen.
2. An aluminium foil rolled in to a small ball for contact purpose at +ve end.

I got mine from Panasonic Evolta 9V alkaline. The +ve end is flat as per below picture.

anyone tried miix 320 before? it is atom based and also come with a pen. i have powerful laptop already i don't need another portable powerful tablet. but a cool running, long lasting battery tablet for light use can be nice.

BTW, both Harvey Norman and All IT do sell "proper" AAAA batts l if you don't wanna tinker and DIY. That's where I get my supply.

Not sure if 9V disassembly is more cost effective though. Also there's the fact that HV and AIT both don't have branches everywhere, so yeah.

HV is selling Energizer AAAA x 2 for RM15.90 if not mistaken.

1 pc Panasonic 9V Evolta costs around RM13.00 which contains 6 x AAAA.

I bought AAAA from HV and want to try out DIY AAAA from 9V battery and use it as spare.

DIY from 9V battery is for those place hard to get proper AAAA battery.

Just install Matte Clear Back cover at HAO Cheras.
RM160.

I like the way it shines a bit ( with subtle glitter effect)
feels like nothing was attached on its surface.

they wrap side and back. except the camera bar and vent on the top.

Welcome to the wrap club, nicely done. I've got mine warpped up in red CF, with extra thick clear wrap "bumpers" on the corners, all DIY.

Thanks for the protip about HAO though. Should help those who (unlike me) can't be bothered to DIY.

Which one is better choice?

Miix 510 or Miix 520?

Miix 510
- 2 years warranty
- RM300 cheaper than Miix 510

Miix 520
- 1 year warranty

The 2 years warranty from Miix 510 seems better as it has 1 year extra warranty.

No.

- Fingerprint login
- Better camera
- etc

are not necessary.

And Miix 510 comes with 2 years warranty which seems worth it as Miix 520 only 1 year warranty.

And will you guys get another pen for Miix 510?

I have a friend bought an Active Pen 2 for his Miix.

If yes, which pen will you recommend? In Amazon, there are plenty of pens available.
Are there suitable for Miix 510/520?

Different tech, different advantages. The Wacom is more accurate but the N-Trig has tilt (AFAIK).

One big pro for the Miix though, if you're good with DIY, you can easily upgrade your SSD (and clean the fans and repaste and all that sort of jam), because the Miix can rather easily be opened up.

The Surface? It's held together by glue. Lots and lots of glue. So yeah, zero maintainability.

BUT, the battery life and screen on the SurPro is awesome however.
