Lol you must have higher standards than mine, I didnt actually notice the graphics quality when I play CoH until you mentioned it here hahaha, which is fine to me by the way  tongue.gif.
I guess that's why I can stand playing with ATI 5870 for 7 years lol

Wow how do you take care of your card? Mine after three years dead already may be because of cheapo psu.

TV doesnt have fast response time ( most PC gaming monitor 1ms ? ) laugh.gif so most PC gamer cant stand the slow response time on TV.
Those advertised 120Hz blah blah blah are just 60Hz duplicate, since almost all TV video source are at best 60fps ?

If you switch between PS4, then no choice, 4KHDR TV it is laugh.gif cheaper I think compare to 4K monitor.

basically, HDR in PC community atm is not so smooth and easy to setup compared to consoles. doesnt help that there arent many content in PC atm that takes advantage of HDR

HDR is applied at the end after image/frame has been produced using the HDR's algorithm to detect when to activate the HDR effect. console had it easier cause they are only applied in game and videos, less hurdles due to massive developer support

meanwhile HDR on PC have issue on when to turn on due to difference in system causing hurdles. imagine while typing MS Word and suddenly Windows decide to trigger the peak brightness of a HDR TV, i daresay youll be blinded at the full force of 1000 nits laugh.gif

Windows is afterall, not an OS designed just for gaming, its a multitool system. devs are still figuring out how to make use of HDR fully in terms of not just games and videos, but browsing, pictures etc etc. until the time comes where HDR monitors are readily available, dont expect massive support yet

EDIT: to add on, the HDR's effect and processing on TVs causes significant response delay compared to monitors as a forumer mentioned. its not a biggie for casual gamers, but imagine jumping from 8ms to nearly 25ms just cause HDR is in effect. those of us who are used to <10ms will suffer sweat.gif

Im really tq for technical explanation. So i guess just using my old and washout monitor for my pc atm before upgrade to gtx 3-4k series. Btw im noticed my frame rate for gtx1070 lower than my arwah hd6870 on company of heroes? What did i do wrong in my past life or game not optimized for gtx 1070? Im using pirated (2010) copy of this game and didnt update it if any.

Its been years since I last rma the psu so i might be wrong, but took me around 2 to 3 weeks i think. I took the most lazy route, i file a report with the people i bought the psu from, and they send a courier to take it from me directly. So over there already delay few days la kan. Once settle they shipped it back to me.

Nothing much i can do during the rma period, had to endure withdrawal syndrome for 3 weeks haha

you can just get a HDR TV if you can live with the drawbacks though, really its up to you haha

as for the framerate i cant comment. COH is a very old game, and all sorts of optimisation shouldve been done years ago. really no idea :/

Never played CoH but I did encounter similar problems witha few games when i swap card before. There s chance your CoH graphic setting file did not update or recognize the new card. So my suggestion

1. Try to look for the game graphic setting file (depends on games, some in game folder, some in My Document/<game>/........ Maybe a file in .ini or xml format, or some other format. Try renaming the file, or normally what i do, i copy to copy to different folder and delete the file. So when the game starts and it doesnt have the graphic setting file, it recreate new one. Just be careful dont delete your save game pulak.

2. Try using DDU to do full driver uninstall/ clean (both Amd and Nvidia drivers, sometime normal uninstall not good enough as files or parameters still left in windows registry) and reinstall driver again. I always use DDU even changing between Nvidia cards

Good luck

I remember 8800gtx/gts the most powerful card at that moment but still consider affordable from what we have here now. Imagine third tier card expensive than flagship 10 years ago thanks to our currency
