current 100mb subscriber , check surprise they give me chance to upgrade to jumbo hyptv , ranjiao upgrade hyptv for what sh1t.

I think the programming term is called "stack overflow"

Then looks like i kena too ! Staying in Condo too, apparently using a copper DSL - confirm no upgrade ! shiiiiit.

We all got conned by TM already.
Now unifi advanced (30m & 50M) has no free local calls to fixed line already.
Thats how they earn back the money used as 'promotions'!!!

I took the offer for 10-30 upgrade for rm10 as well late december, now january bill shows i need to pay local fixed line calls and recent check no free upgrade but only webe or hypptv packs only

Hppptv jumbo pack free 1 year only, don't buta buta take the offer, next year RM60 chargeable. KNS TM.

Just remember to stop the jumbo pack by next year case solved?

Why not TM just disabled the package when it expired? Why bother to go through the trouble to cancel the subscription?

I knew something like this will happen. i ask then don't install the dect phone and never open in the box since day one.

I recall amazon aws does this kind of approach. They are hoping that some consumer will either forget to cancel or by 12 months time consumer wont be bother by the extra monthly costs.

yes, there will be tonnes of people remembering to quit it

but they are banking on the forgetfull or even those that are happy enough with the service that the pre-registering helps make it easier for them.

thats why u need to ask first what the difference is. i got the offer for rm10 upgrade as well but after asking, they tell me a few things change, i decided not to take the offer. in the free upgrade FAQ, they mentioned that those who already upgraded during their promo period last year will not be entitled to another free upgrade this year.

Yes, mine from 5mb to 10 mb (free upgrade long time ago), then they called said add RM 30 can get 30Mb (so, now paying RM179).
AFAIK, there are limitation if we use the copper line, though the speed can accept up to 52mb (according to google search), checked
with a local Unifi installer said cannot upgrade to 50Mb unless its a fiber optic connection.

So to say, are we (those still in copper-line) on the losing part? give us discount la, maybe 30% or 40%....we will stick to the existing speed.

Or, can they turn around and say, Your condo problem, why never upgrade Fiber ?

How to know you have been upgraded? Will they send SMS. When I accept the upgrade before CNY it says after 31/1/17 to turn-off and then turn-on modem. Did that and speed still same, no change.

it stated that it will be implemented in waves AFTER 31 jan, so better pray you got it within FEB

it also stated it depends on your neighbourhood hardware spec, if it doesnt support then there will no free upgrade or reimbursement for you, so better hope your neighbourhood support it
