QUOTE(danthe0 @ Oct 2 2017, 10:16 PM) How'd you do that No idea , how it got charged fully anyway. This was after batu tiga toll. Also i noticed something odd went today. I noticed a sudden bad jerk on stop and go traffic. Never experienced that kind of jerk and realized the battery went to 1 bar and then the engine was working hard to get the battery back to 4 bars. Not sure what caused my car to go to 1 bar It should be on the head unit, Press FM/Bluetooth, Bottom right side, top-left icon SVC OFF LOW MID HIGH. BTW you should join our Honda hybrid group via WhatsApp - Will DM you the link ! |

QUOTE(Alberto.Contador @ Oct 3 2017, 09:31 AM) Usually they won't quote a pair as it is not necessary to change both and there is no standardized pricing. It all depends on the size, the thickness of the plate they use, the letters to determine the price. RM50 to RM60 is right about where you would expect to pay for a front and back plate replacement especially our rear end plate is quite big if you need to make a plate to fill up the whole area instead of those standard rectangular ones. Thanks for the reply. That is totally up to you. I believe there are some units out there that might fit your requirements. This supports apple car play and android auto both, in case you switch mobile platforms to android. But, it does however not play CD's i think. http://xciteaudio.com/car_headunit/double_.../Sony_XAV-AX100 In theory, that will be the case. At least if anything goes wrong electrically related. You can just swap the original HU back in (assuming you don't sell it) without anyone knowing. If you do not install other components. Usually the HU and speakers is where wires might be cut into in order for the installation as the plug on the wiring harness is specific to Honda and the speakers also uses somewhat of a proprietary connector. I have swapped my stock HU to a pioneer double DIN unit. But mine was not the 3rd generation Jazz. So your jazz still have the 5 years warranty. What I'm afraid is my car is less than 2 weeks old and the 5 years warranty already void BTW, anybody know honda panel shops? I've asked my SA but he also don't know. I think I want to change the HU at the panel shops. Thanks |

QUOTE(Alberto.Contador @ Oct 3 2017, 12:04 PM) My generation was the first Jazz to be CKD'ed. We were only given the normal 1 year warranty and only First 3 service labour free. Talk about the stinginess after having to wait 4 months for the delivery. Wow..You're so brave I am not a poster child for warranty as the car went through ~ 17-inch rim change, the 2nd day of taking delivery along with tinting at Raytech. It would be the 1st day if i did not take delivery of the car late in the evening. So late that the SA did not even bother to explain to me about the car stuff ~ another rim change 6 months down the road as i was waiting delivery of my Buddyclub P1SF ~ installed DVR, tapping internal compartment fuse box within 1st year ~ installed ultragauge, nothing special. Just plug to OBD port, but if they know what it could do like clearing error codes. They could raise some suspicion about it. ~ swap for some german maestro speakers front and back within 1st year ~ thrown stock steering out for aftermarket during airbag recall period ~ GAB SS can't remember when ~ slightly BBK upgrade kit can't remember when too ~ swapped driver seats, can't remember when too ~ swapped head unit, can't remember when too ~ revalved, change springs, revalved again, revalved again, and now leaking I still managed to claim the aircond compressor toggle switch as it was turning on and off when going through bumpy roads during the 3rd service (6months). Told them on the 2nd service (3months) of the problem and they said they will claim which takes time and should do it during the next service or whichever comes first. So, i don't know about warranty. But, i did what i did anyways. They noticed i did some stuff to it during warranty period but they never bothered to kacau also. Thanks |

QUOTE(Alberto.Contador @ Oct 9 2017, 11:03 AM) Dampers are very preferential. There is no recommendation as they are mostly the same in terms of functional design. Ahh i see. Thank you for your explanation It will at the end of the day come down to your budget and what you can afford. There are a couple of local brands around such as HWL, GAB, F Tuned, etc.. There are also offers such as height adjustment only via spring seats, one-way damping adjustment or some which are better built units offering damping adjustment together with height adjustment via body shift. As i say, there are mostly the same in terms of functional design. Some might utilize a twin tube design and some might offer upright mono tube offerings. It is down to whether you can get it to perform the way you prefer it to. Monotube and twintube designs also have their individual pros and cons. The setup itself is the most important thing as it is not an outright competition vehicle and you might need to find the delicate balance between performance and road comfort. But, to be frank. All of the dampers are usually designed with pretty limited stroke and is not as optimal for hill roads as they might be for the track. Some might be too hardly sprung, some not having very good damping curves or some just downright skimp on using good seals and oils affecting the longevity and the performance or ride quality of the car in certain conditions. There is no right answer is what i am implying here. If you can find other rides already installed with a certain brand. Ask to take it for a drive or ride to see if you like the setup. Then, get that and copy the setup as closely as possible. |

So, I've been trying to see if I can record the juddering/jerking issue for the hybrid when engine is forced on to charge the hybrid batteries.
I tried using dashcam first but nope, it's untraceable. I was expecting it to pivot it's nose downward abit due to the power loss/judder, but nope, car looks rock solid. After finally spending on a OBDII BT adaptor, below is what I found. (Skip to Spoiler) Data is captured with Torque. Dataset captured is: Hybrid Battery charge (%), Engine rpm, Speed(km/h). Hybrid battery charge is captured to keep track of the 'when battery is 25%, turn engine on' condition. Engine rpm, to align when it turns on and causes the judder/jerk/power loss. Speed (km/h), to check deceleration during judder/jerk/power loss. OBDII PID scan rate is at ~20/sec. Torque's "Faster communication" is NOT used for fear of messing with internal the CAN. The error I know of that is present in the data is that km/h is derived from the GPS (it drifts +/- 6 meters) but the judder exists and seems consistent. RIP mobile users who try to open this spoiler... Resolution is super high for your viewing & zooming pleasure Right click > Open image in new tab > Zoom » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Deceleration can cut up to 25% of current speed when it judders at low speed. Imagine randomly stomping the brakes while driving at low speed. I'll capture more dataset with actual speed information based on the car's reported speed on the OBD next time. Stay tuned next week or so. CONCLUSION, i-DCD IS TIHS. (at low speeds, when outta batteries) This post has been edited by danthe0: Oct 14 2017, 02:29 AM |

So today was a hot day. Some whatsapp members posted 40°C @ ~1PM on their driver panel info screen.
I parked half shaded and with cheapo 3M horizon+ RM1,700 shit. With 2x rear windows 1 inch /2 cm down. Tablet placement: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Tablet results: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 44.4°C at boot. GL hybrid batteries. Hope it can live a long life. |
