Top priority is given to India cos it's the biggest market outside China. It take time to update as Xiaomi sold a few million redmi note 3 there. Other countries will have to wait. That why when you set the region to India , you get immediate update. The same scenario with Mi Max as well.

Just wanted to ask , why Mi PC Suite not working on mi phone ? can't detect at all.Which other sync software you all are using to pc ?

I think the ram usage is less too now with 8.2.1 but that's probably just anecdotes. Saw there's like 1 gig ram while running several apps, might just be they just ran for a short time. But the apps list button took a little time now when a lot of apps running. Might be my feelings only too.

Fingerprint unlock doesn't vibrate anymore, and touching it doesn't turn on the menu button backlight. The update installed Duo on my phone. Not sure how I feel about that.

Buuuut, other than that, feels the same. No obvious improvements or decrease in performance for a typical user.

After update, my phone will unlock with fingerprint even if it's in my pocket. Tried turning on the pocket mode but it didn't work very well. Anyone know a different setting for it?

My phone won't unlock in pocket even I disable pocket mode. Stupid feature to disable unlock if in pocket. Dunno why u want the stupid feature.

Not everyone is lucky enough having them still stuck with smyx and umoble line upload slow and unstable.

Last time old days nokia have their PC suites , Samsung Kies , huawei Hisuite
But where is xiaomi ????

We only turn on sync with Mi Cloud when back to home using WiFi. no need always turn on the sync

My advice. Don't keep ur important copy of documents, pictures and video mainly on hard drives and phone. And even some cheap memory cards.
The pain quite bad if that happens. I must say
Especially if u using those backup for important purposes

u can use ftp server in explorer. wifi connection must enable.

When you plug into your pc (tired on win8.1 and 10), you see note 3, clink on it, you can access the internal and sd storage.

It need your finger to unlock. Just don't put your finger and unlock the phone while it's in the pocket.
