Im on 8.1.1...checked the update app and shows no update....but when i click download from the menu, its downloading something..donno what.. lol

It will download the same version (8.1.1.0)

i change region to india, and straight away get 8.1.6 update...previously set to malaysia..and i dont have china for selection

Well that's weird.. My global ROM got all region selection from A to Z.. Malaysia, India, Indonesia, China, Hongkong, Singapore, Zimbabwe, u name it, it got it.. lol

Apparently, once change region to india, it also download some apps (maybe india related apps) which i straight away delete..

After update to 8.1.6 using india region, no more update... So change back to malaysia.. Maybe will try other region after friday prayer

I set to India 2 weeks ago , and get updated to 8.1.6.0.. yup , I also just uninstall the India applications. I think the latest 8.2.1.0 rom got some problem , so Xiaomi pull out for now.

None apparently so far.. Feels much better to me, less apps suddenly FC during when i was on the 8.1.6..

8.2.1 feel more stable and less ram use than 8.1.6

8.1.6 and 8.2.1 gps is pathetic after overnight.

U sure it isn't your phone GPS? Tested using waze a few times oredi since updating ROM, works normally so far..

Xiaomi maybe pull back to do some minor change of coding. Anyway, those who had already updated manually to 8.2.1.0 will be corrected in next OTA update. Unknown bug can mean anything which may not be able to detect by end user , only their programmers know.

Not too sure, it becomes ok after I reboot the phone. And is ok for whole day. Only overnight the GPS take forever to locate.

lol why Xiaomi download despite the same version? Btw, I'm still stuck with 8.1.1, no new update over OTA

I also "kena" few times with note 2, and last week note3.

Than i just download from the net, and install.
