Later today after work gonna COD for a used Redmi Note 3. Moving from a Samsung J5 that I broke the screen.
I'm so pissed that the Samsung and Xiaomi are same price, but the Samsung only 1.5G ram 8Gb storage. Always need to clear cache and I cannot install apps at all.

Ah ok. Is it because of the material? GPS and signal sounds like hard to be affected by cases unless encased in some sort of faraday cage.

Just got my rmn3 yesterday, so far so good. A lot better and smoother than my old phone. Everything just snaps and response time is quick.

How long have you been using your rmn3? I remember feeling this smooth when my Samsung J5 was new, but this is a lot smoother and snappier.
Most reviewers use only up to 3-4 weeks or 2 months, and they still feel the phone is smooth. I hope that's the same for me.

I check mine is also 8.1.1 and no updates for it. I'm not too bothered, everything runs well.

I've read some posts in the Xiaomi forums, unfortunately the rn3 doesn't have any stock quick charge features no matter which QC charger you use. Charging time same across all.

Ooo, sorry misunderstand The phone will only draw how much power it needs, so if your charger can go very high like 3A, the phone will still draw only as much as it needs like 1.5A maybe etc. I've tried different chargers from Samsung to iPhone to Xiaomi powerbank, voltage remains constant around 4.3-4.7V but ampere changes depending on battery capacity. Does not get hot at all too.

Bought a cheap VR box today because want to test out the VR. Kinda sad now quality is low. Macam kena scam @_@
But the Samsung Gear VR at their store is very good though. Felt so real.

Have you tried a good VR box or glasses? The Samsung Gear VR was good, but if possible to get same quality at lower price then I'd wanna opt for that instead.

Guys, those who have the stock ROM, what's your normal battery life? I seem to need to recharge every night before sleeping.

And anyone got good VR box to recommend?

In this comment, it shows the available RAM is 16% which is roughly the same compared to me. Is it normal for the phone to use up to 84% of its 3GB RAM for several apps? Probably 10 plus apps are open. And when I close all the apps, only 1.1GB of RAM is freed up. This doesn't look like much.
Is it normal?

Ah ok, thank you very much. I can see how you can get 2 days easily from it. Me myself, even in bed in front of my laptop playing youtube, I'm still on my phone checking facebook and also youtube and everything. It drains so fast.

I played around and rooted my previous Samsung J5, got Cyanogenmod on it. Then accidentally deleted ori google keyboard. I'm such a klutz.
With this RMN3 I don't think I wanna play around with it it works fine

I had some problem like that too. Once the phone won't ring or give audio notification after changing from silent mode. And stored videos cannot be played. After restart phone then everything is fine again.

Anyone can suggest good magnetic mount? I'm interested but worried when hit a pothole or speed bump and shake later the phone falls down.
