I terminate my DiGi EDGE today because my house already equipped with streamyx. Based on my experience, DiGi gives me a better connectivity and unlimited data usage at affordable rate compared to Celcom.

QUOTE(digilife @ May 19 2009, 09:51 PM) i hav 2 mobile bb connection I noticed Digi Edge latency has improved greatly from 400ms to about 180ms-220ms nowadays.umobile at this time of the day suks , damn slow digi Edge still ok the latency and the upload is something worth mentioning and i am using my dopod D810 to connect by means of "internet sharing" via a usb cable I wish Digi can lower their Edge charges from RM66 currently. Connection down in Malacca area, called CS and they are acknowledged about this. Some parts of Kuching are affected too. Not sure of the real problem. I hope it could be rectified as soon as possible.

QUOTE(jacklsw86 @ May 25 2009, 11:35 AM) Well, you can always try DiGi EDGE.I'm using d' campus package and it only costs RM 30.00/month. Too bad you are graduating this trimester. Added on May 25, 2009, 6:41 pmI'm now downloading my daily DDL using FDM, initially I just straight downloaded my stuffs, today thought of trying download manager. IDM is good but too bad it is a shareware, so I opted for FDM since it is free. As a result: ![]() I select it to be the light mode that download speed will be minimised to not to affect my surfing speed. The cool thing is the speed still remains and my surfing is as smooth as silk. See, I still can upload an image. This post has been edited by fruitie: May 25 2009, 06:42 PM |

Guys, I'm confused again. RM values had said earlier when he contacted DiGi CS, they say the DiGi broadband coverage map is correct. Now when I called DiGi CSR myself, he says the DiGi data services page is correct. Look at Batu Gajah:
a) Acccording to DiGi broadband, Batu Gajah has EDGE. In fact, the EDGE coverage is very extensive. ![]() b) But according to DiGi data services page, Batu Gajah only has GPRS. Inf act, EDGE coverage seems rather limited. ![]() Which is correct? |

Borrow a DiGi SIM card and plug into an EDGE enabled phone. If it has the "E" sign means you are in EDGE coverage. That's the easiest way to determine.

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 26 2009, 10:26 PM) EDGE is not really for internet only. It could be for mobile internet as well. |
