I'm thinking about getting digi EDGE with the laptop promotion biggrin.gif
If you count it, they dont charge you the monthly fee.. Only the laptop and the sim card smile.gif
The laptop is around 2700+

If only the speed is higher tongue.gif

Folks:
No offence... but, I was wondering hmm.gif why u guys stick with edge when maxis / celcom 3G is already available at the moment? I was an Edge user previously... but the slow speed was killing me yawn.gif yawn.gif . so, I shifted to celcom 3G recently. So, just wondering, how is Digi's edge going to survive in long term? the only thing good about digi is their customer service. But, I guess the end product is much more important, right? blush.gif

Maxis and Celcom 3G sucked at my place. Surely I choose stability rather than great speed but unacceptable downtime.
No streamyx summore.

Its just my luck(bad one?). EDGE serves me OK rite now. I'm not an online gamer or torrent freak, so its fine with me.

I'm sure theres alot of ppl with my problem, so I guess, that gives EDGE more time to stay alive. For now.

P/S DiGi still fighting for 3G, 3.5G, Wimax etc licence. *fingers crossed*

because 3G or darn 3.5G is not stable in my area. I could get EDGE constantly at 200-300kbps. Whilst this so called 3g always timed out and maxis not recommend to use their service in high rise building.

you are true about their customer service tho. they giving me free 1 week trial when i ask for it last year. smile.gif

I heard using hp as modem might damage the hp coz u need to constantly charge it while surfing etc.
Not too sure lah. I sometimes need to stop and restart my hp when it got hotter.

Plan to buy the datacard but the price is still quite expensive. Maybe wait til it down to RM300 or less.

I'm using Nokia e65.
I have no problem using it actually. But its my understanding, phones are not meant to be a modem. It just concerns me when its very hot.

Aiyoh ppl!!! How many times I need to tell u, no need to compare 3G and Edge. No need to say 3G is faster. Even my gramma knows that.
Of course 3G is faster. Haih.

Lets talk about Edge. For the ppl who cant use 3G at their areas.
And for those like me who thinks 3G is unstable. EDITED
