QUOTE(zafriabdkarim @ Aug 30 2017, 11:29 PM) Right now I'm leaning towards Lenovo IdeaPad 320 (14-inch, i5-7200u, gtx 940mx, 4gb ram and 1tb hdd). Priced at RM2399 in Wangsa Walk. But who knows if there is cheaper price somewhere else or maybe a bit lower spec with much lower price??? Hehehe Cheers π lazada... lenovo throw price at lazada

QUOTE(myway1985 @ Aug 31 2017, 02:24 AM) Is this even in Malaysia? Even so, it looks like it will be RM3000+ so.....I'll pass Btw, is Acer Aspire E 14 (E5-475G-55BD) a good deal? Seems like the specs and price are nice.

QUOTE(shirogawawa @ Aug 30 2017, 10:52 PM) if you throw in 1600 x, way over his budget already, graphics card + CPU, cost him near to 3.5k already no need monitor ? storage? ram ? PSU ? mainboard ?casing ? cooler ? I might wanna reduced my expectation.. seeing most games can play in PS4, might opt for GTX 1060.. But does it enough to last few years? Last time bought Y520 with GTX660m, only can play for 2 years. What pissed me off is bought Dead Rising 3 that time, damn lag even at medium setting.

QUOTE(Slick69 @ Aug 31 2017, 06:23 PM) Not me, but it looks good. I'll recommend it. But if you can, hold off the purchasing for a month or so, it's IFA time, lots of new models are going to be announced soon That vivobook is going to be updated too This is a bad time to be buying new laptop In a month, new laptops SHOULD be coming soon and the old laptop price will fall down or you can pick a cheaper new one My stolen laptop is Vivobook K451LN (2014 model). My friend mistaken it as Macbook hahaha. With aluminium design, the palm is cool to rest for a long time but somehow with weird air vent facing down (solved it with cheap external fan). I reckon this vivobook should have the same functional design, more or less. So you think I should wait for a month too for the price to come down?? I'm planning to buy in middle of September, hows the price going, in usual scenario?

QUOTE(Slick69 @ Aug 31 2017, 06:45 PM) You ARE getting a laptop right? AMD stuff with that spec won't be coming up until next year. This year AMD will be focusing on raven ridge apu first. So expect around i7 7700hq and gtx 1060 performance later this year. I guessing ryzen 5 2500U apu only with no discreet gpu (around mx150 performance)to come first in abundance and.... ..... then the rare occasional the same apu but equip with rx 570 4gb or 8gb gaming laptops to come afterwards But intel is gonna make sure they got the worst display imaginable and the slowest hdd, so make sure you are tech savvy enough to handle those issues first bro. No newbies are allowed to buy AMD based laptop. They are best handled by the veterans and the willing I've been absent for 5 years (bcos focus on Mazda 3) Now coming back, want to play games and currently looking at desktop. Got any recommendations for shops building rigs? Visited idealtech. Good service.

1. Preferred brand : none 2. Budget : 2k 3. Usage : web browsing, reply email and some youtube video. expected to last for few years and still be smooth 4. Screen Size : any
I'm thinking of something with 4-8gb ram and 128gb ssd . 128gb should be enough since I won't really be storing that much things inside.
