Need to get a everyday work type of laptop for my mum. She's not tech savy so I expect the usual word, chrome, firefox usage. Nothing TOO taxing I think, though she does have the bad habit of opening multiple firefox windows and just leaving it.

Extra requirement: Needs to be as light as possible.

1. Preferred brand : ASUS (because apparently my mum thinks DELL is cheap?)
2. Budget : Under RM 2k
3. Usage : Everyday office work, at most web browsing and watching movie at the same time I suspect.
4. Screen Size : Over 15". Any resolution, but I want to aim for 1080p

I need a laptop mainly for study. I am about to purchase Dell Inspiron 13 2in1 model 5378 @RM3999
I noticed Dell just released new model 5379, i7-8th gen processor for RM3899. However the 256GB SSD (model 5378) is now replaced with 1TB HDD (model 5379).

Need your opinion to choose one.

In need of a recommendation for new laptop for college (coding) and maybe very minimal amount of gaming?

1. Preferred brand : Open to all biggrin.gif
2. Budget : around 4000-4500
3. Usage : Web browsing, mild gaming, mostly college work and coding
4. Screen Size : Preferably around the smaller, thinner and lighter side

Thanks!
