that clause is quite standard and appears in all t&c.

it is to protect the bank in case they need to revise the rate if there is OPR revision. bank can also choose NOT to revise, it's their discretion.

normally 1 term FD rate is fixed, it doesnt change midway. only issue is the step-up type of FD where it has multiple terms.

nobody can give you a definite answer because it's bank's discretion whether to revise or not.

Dear Valued Customers,

Please be advised that with effect from Friday, 12 April 2019, the maturity date for all existing Fixed Deposits, Term Deposits and Foreign Currency Fixed Deposits that mature on a weekend (i.e. Friday and Saturday for Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Johor, Saturday and Sunday for other states) or Public Holidays and State Holidays will be shifted to the next business day, following Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur’s holiday calendar.

Example 1: if the Fixed Deposit/Term Deposit/Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit matures on
1 May 2019 (Public Holiday), the maturity date will then be shifted to 2 May 2019, with the interest/profit to be paid up to 2 May 2019.

Example 2: if the Fixed Deposit/Term Deposit/Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit matures on
10 May 2019 (Friday which is a weekend for the states of Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Johor), the maturity date will then be shifted to 13 May 2019, with the interest/profit to be paid up to 13 May 2019.
