The thing i dislike about rhb this time is, that 2.65% 1 month is indeed their board rates based on the link here. Not sure how they can call it an offer that has an expiry date.

Then again, those who will come here will know it's low.

Actually for a short period of time earlier in june, i managed to place 3.95% 9 months. Just didnt expect that to expire so soon.

What is the different between M2U apps and the new "MAE" app?

god knows, i hv decided to close my MBB accounts and cards having experienced the following recently:

- missing funds when placing FD by FPX
- my internet banking being blocked forcing me to go to the branch to start everything again
- My credit card transactions not being linked and shown in MAE
- being charged $8 for the issue of a new debit card

i saw somewhere that alliance is doing 4.20% but why no one talk about it? is it false info? my fd is due soon..

M2U and MAE apps are both Maybank mobile online banking app.
MAE has additional features such as eWallets + so called lifestyles features such as purchase air ticket, split bills, request money from family or friends etc

Both have Secure2U to approve online transactions. But effective 1st July, 2023, Secure2u on the MAE app will be the only way to approve online transactions that required authorization. No longer part of M2U app.

p/s: One aspect of MAE app which I do not like is that it required access to my phone contacts. I believe this is required by the Request/Send money feature.
I had removed this permission from the app as I do not use this feature. For that I will be an annoying warning during the MAE app startup - Denying the permission request will cause the application to behave unexpectedly which I just ignore. So far the app work just fine.

Info recd was must be privilege banking customer:

6mths 4.2% RM300k

Alliance bank 4.2% 12m is legit and not limited to privileged customers. I placed mine a few days ago. Opened a saveplus account online, use promo code dash4cash. Take selfie video and picture of ic. Opted for no debit card. Caveat is it is limited to rm100k(says on the t&c, didnt try to put more) and can only place fd like the next day cuz have to wait for them to send u sms for fd offer. Also have to transfer funds to the saveplus account first then to fd from there, cannot fpx from other bank straight to fd.

why not 4.5% at BI?

BI 4.5% , no need open new saving account, they just ask where the money come from and other small details, mine took about an estimated 30 minutes
i did it otc, not sure whether they can do it all online or not.

Anyone placed PBB efd FPX from MBB have FPX limit issue?

I have updated my MBB FPX daily limit to RM50K before I placed PBB efd.
My first attempt RM30K is fine.
Second attempt RM20K is giving me error message saying exceeded RM50K limit.

Looks like FD fpx transactions with MBB got many issues.

1. Open new FD in MBB from other banks high chance money goes missing
2. Open new FD in other bank from MBB transaction not honoured. Luckily money still in MBB so not as bad as 1 above.

Brother my advice is avoid tiger like the plague. They have some IT issues with their internet banking system. I have decided to close all my MBB accounts and cards once my FD in MBB matures. Not worth the hastle.

I have one RHB eFD mature date today 26 June, but the interest is not credited and did not show mature yet.

In your FD details, what is the accrued interest/profit value?

Accrued interest is one cent less than the projected value.

I had done eFD placements at different banks using FPX transfer from MBB. So far, no problem.
May I ask, what time did you did your 2nd 20K eFD placement?

iirc, when you attempt to withdraw today, the portal screen will show the principal+profit amount as the final withdraw amount

the eFD summary screen doesnt show latest amount today, yet.

I had eFDs with RHB. On the date of maturity, I always redeem. So far no problem.

I try to withdraw and the final screen shows RM0.00 interest. I guess have to wait for tomorrow then. Hope can make it on time to transfer this to EPF this month.
