The risk is the same? For example if you want to place 2mil in FD. PIDM only protect up to 250k. If the risk is the same, will you go for TIA?

OCBC 2.28 has stopped end of last month. Now less than 2%

Affin 2.35% 12 month no more. Now 2.5% for 12 months but 10% CASA until FD maturity so effective rate only 2.25%

Hong Leong has now 2.3% for 12 months OTC

Public Bank has 2.3% for 9 months Senior but need $500 in SA

HSBC has 2.3% 24 months

If u have the psychical certificate with you then you can give it a try provided the amount on the certificate is below 20k.

If by any chance the interest / principle rollover is beyond 20k then usually they ask u go back home branch.

Today AmBank eFD matured. Xfer out and did FPX from 2 banks.

Placed for 9 mth 2.50%, shown immediately in online account. No FPX problem.

I did not encounter problem so far on FPX FD placement. Touch wood !

If i straight calculate like (e)FD, expected profit = RM60.75 (less RM1.25)

If i reverse calculate based on your received-profit, the indicative rate = 2.40% p.a. (less 0.05% p.a.)

i've placed 1 time back in Jan 2021 (matured Jul 2021), profit received is less RM0.01 (due to system), but the rate matches with my initiate placement.

I have tested  and can confirm the requirement to hold certain amount in the Invikta current account doesn't seem to be mandatory. My Invikta balance has been at RM 2.19 for past few months

I notice that BR, BM, AB maybe others are consistently having promo on eFD higher than PBB and HLBB.

I only have MBB, RHB, PBB and HLBB. Which one worth to open an online saving account to get better eFD rate?

Bad luck. Rentas from BR to Affin and later found out all the above promo is no longer available.

Because it's a scam.. they will revise rate when OPR change.. not transparent with table for changes = can change to whatever rate they like
