Maybank FD 4.3%, 15 months, fresh fund

I encountered the same when it was first shared here. So I just let it be since I was feeling angelic.

Last week went there with relative and we become their nightmare of the day before Christmas! Lol...

Then we got it... 😈

For today only Am bank 4.3% for 12 months FD

Just returned from Ambank. The 4.3% 12 months promo is for Islamic FD

Not nego for 4.2%, nego and get 4.2% only. Who would nego to get lower rate ? 

So now planning to take out to AmBank, MBB and today heard HL 4.3%. Maybe better rates to be known ?? 

I have send WhatsApp to AmBank ABM. Anyway going there afterwards to renew FD. If no 4.3%, will take out and move to HL for 4.3%. 

HL eFD is 6 mths with 4.2018% pa interest. Not bad I would say. HL OTC is 12 mth 4.3%. So depends on individual. For me yesterday I went for the 12 mth 4.3%.

Tomorrow has HL eFD maturing, have to play play to go for the 12 mth 4.3%. Reason is this OTC promo is for FRESH fund only. Cannot even top up say 10% to get promo rate.

My relative re-nego with MBSB. After saying going to withdraw the matured FD, was able to get 12 mth 4.35%. Interest on maturity only. 

So sometimes this withdrawal move can work.  I have done this last year in MBSB. 

MBB is 15 months for the 4.3% and for 6 months , there is HLB e-FD at 4.2018%.

Haha, BIG amt for me, small change for others !    After I collected my BC from AmBank that they told me >50k, 12 mth 4.2%. They did not offer >100k 4.25%. Anyway I guess I would still withdraw it to get more small change for makan makan.  HL 4.3% still more attractive to me.

Anyway MBB 15 mth FD placed last month with eff rate of 4.3%, monthly interest in !   

Anyone know i tried FPX from Ambank to Hong Leong Bank first time successful , but i continue for second time it fails , bank doesn't allowed for second time or FPX does not allowed for second time ?

Given that need min 12m, 4.35% consider not high

It's Pure FD. They either don't know what they are talking about or they hope you don't.

In AmBank to enquire on the 12 mth 4.35%. Was told they have yet to get confirmation from HQ. The BM called HQ again and finally said the 12 mth 4.35% min 50k need HQ approval. So "booked" for Monday and they asked for HQ approval. The approval came in the afternoon. 

HL wise, the branch I went said they do not have 12 mth 4.35%, the 4.35% is only selected branch and probably during open house only.
