Affin is like AmBank, long time you hear nothing from them, no promo at all. And then they pop up by surprise with the by far best FD rate on the market. And after that fall asleep again.

haha I found out the hard way. had to call them and found out that the max for each placement is 10k
but you can place a total of 50k per day. in another words you need to place multiple 10k up to 50k per day
not sure the next day can place another 50k or not....

i dunno why they made it so complicated. maybe to give other people chance

At affin bank now. Got issue with affinsecure which is required for transaction of 10k or more online. The min amount required for the 6m 2.88% promotion is 10k. Tried to do the fd online last night but failed due to the affinsecure thing (stupid requirement in this case as it’s from own saving to own fd). Found out that the promotion can be done otc as well. For those who wish to do it online, the three boxes at the bottom can only be ticked after clicking on the respective links for the documents.

For a couple of weeks I couldn't place eFD
Finally today I found out it's my AffinSecure- I had been keying in the wrong pin so it locked me out. All I had to do was de register it and register again. The problem is it doesn't tell you that you had key in the wrong pin. It just says "unsuccessful" 🤦🏻‍♂️

Did you mean max or min cause max per placement is 10k. If min also 10k it means every placement must be exactly 10k? OTC max is how much?

not that i'm afraid la, it's the 1st time i did online transaction that required it. i tried to install the app but failed to receive the 10-digit token during registration. i then saw in the online page that i need to key in either virtual/debit/credit card no for this affinsecure thing but i couldn't find my virtual card  was told by the call center that i needed to get it done at a branch this morning. So sad and angry that i lost a day of interest due to this stupid requirement, it shouldn't be needed when transferring from own saving to own fd! 

paper type virtual card as i don't want to pay extra  but that's why i lost it la 

Anyone had successfully making an online placement 6M 2.88%  ?

I have problem approving the placement using the AffinSecure as it keep showing processing after keying in the 6 digit pin until the transaction was aborted after the expiry of 60 seconds. I've tried many time since evening and the problem still persists.
