QUOTE(christina1 @ Dec 23 2016, 09:49 PM) Guys is 100mbps not fast.. Heard from friend he said is very slow compared to time. He has Compared both Unifi and time. slower in what way? cannot attain 100Mbps for TM while time can? Shouldn't be rite?seriously i feel my 30Mbps plan is real fast for all my needs, plus next year upgraded to 50Mbps will be even faster, that's why i am having dilemma if i should go for 50Mbps plan at RM229 now and get the free upgrade to 100Mbps next year. besides, i noticed the online sign up actually showed the plan that can be subscribed based on the address keyed in, i guess it should be a good 'guide' on whether an address can support 100Mbps for unifi. |

If he's not doing port forwarding, offcourse he's not getting full speedQUOTE(kazekage_09 @ Dec 23 2016, 10:14 PM) to get free upgrade 100mbps I must upgrade to 50mbps now? YesBut you still need to check if your home can support 100Mb/s or not Go to TMPoint and check with them directly And upgrading is faster through TMPoint, not through online or through resellers This post has been edited by sHawTY: Dec 23 2016, 10:16 PM |

Guys, I just upgraded my current Advance 30 to Advance 50. Currently, I'm getting 47.++ Mbps d/l and 20.++ u/l through wired connection. Is this normal for 50Mbps user(s)?

QUOTE(GamaX320 @ Dec 24 2016, 03:51 AM) yeah it seems normal during my adv50...my average speed would be 46-48Mbps dL/ 22-20Mbps uL, but depends on area people seems to be getting 52-51Mbps. my pro100 never reach 100Mbps, 99Mbps is the highest dL. |

QUOTE(mywingame @ Dec 23 2016, 04:15 PM) I'm on VIP 5 RM149 previously and got upgraded for free few months ago to VIP 10 TM ripping consumer off again.Today my gf received call from TM offer +extra RM10 to get upgrade to 30mbps and free jumbo pack TV Anyone receive similar offer? The free jumbo pack is 1 month only is it? QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 23 2016, 08:03 PM) [attachmentid=8301459] im the lucky 1 who stay at landed property who got FTTHfrom TM's reply, can tell that the free upgrade has no obligation, it will free, no contract renewal needed. [attachmentid=8301460] from current users of 30Mbps, it is possible to upgrade to 50Mbps now to enjoy the 100Mbps free upgrade next year. it stated the upgrade is subjected to technical availability. i believe for one's current address, if u can actually apply for the 100Mbps now, u should have no problem getting the free upgrade 100Mbps obviously. Technically, i think majority of the landed houses should have no problem getting a speed of 100Mbps and above for their fibre at all, as fibre this medium has a minimum of 1Gbps bandwidth, and it can support 1km and above of length without attenuation at all. So i seriously do not see a reason for landed property for not getting the free upgrade unless the bottleneck is at the TM back-end especially for those landed property that only receives the unifi availability recently. i guess for certain existing high-rise unifi users that is using existing copper wire telephone via VDSL thru fibre may have the risks, again if the high-rise users have the option to subscribe to Advance Pro 100Mbps now, it should have no problem for next year upgrade too, if the 100Mbps is not even available to subscribe, then it may have a higher chance that free upgrade is not possible next year. while my friend that stay at highrise barely able to get a stable 5mbps speed. i wonder how they going to give 30mbps speed to them or even PRO 100mbps speed. QUOTE(pluginbaby @ Dec 23 2016, 08:06 PM) er? i cant confirm but i can say 99% landed is rigged with FTTH. |
