hey guys , quick question. I have been using 30mbps for more than a year now. In terms of download speed , I should hit around 3.4-3.6mb/s or somewhere around there right? I been noticing that my max has been around 2.4-2.8mb/s since for awhile now. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!

TM provide 2 models of router for now, TPlink Archer C5 and Dlink DIR-850L and you cant connect Hypptv by wifi with TPlink Archer C5, only Dlink DIR-850L can do that.

hi, I tried connect hypptv with DIR-850L router and it successful connect but if I plug out ethernet connect with hypptv and it cant see TV anymore unless plug in back ethernet.
Any idea hypptv just connect with wifi without the ethernet cable?

if you pay to TM account, should be ok, can dispute later if anything
unless you pay to some personal account, or sdn bhd acc, then you should get worried

like other said, it is meant to confirm that the service is indeed installed/activated and the owner will want to keep the service. Never ask why, but it should be a kind of security measure by TM. It must be done within 7 days after service is activated.

In fact, if applying via agent, they cannot ask for photocopy of ic but instead the agent will need to bring a machine to read the owner's ic for verification purpose instead. Another security measure by TM.

So it seems like TM had imposed a lot of new security measure for services applied via agent or other third party dealer. Maybe previously there are many dispute cases.

but best no matter how it is to apply via online. Safest plus one mth subscription. It is super time consuming process for online application, one week time before they call to confirm the application after submitted application online. Probably another one week minimum for installer to arrange an appointment. But TM online had done a good job to terminate the streamyx (for users who upgrade) immediately after the unifi is activated. Rather hassle free. And online application does not need the rm100 thingy.

I see because I applied via agent and I submitted my IC which I crossed of course and didn't require to pay anything. When I applied that time, no free 1 month and this agent gave me free. Installation was so swift, can be installed within 2 days but I wasn't free and pushed to weekend. This was in 2014. Last year recommended my foreign friend and same pleasant experience, deposit for foreigners is waived and free 1 month too. Installation was done within the same week. Never been asked for any payment or being charged with anything. All done with just WhatsApp. laugh.gif

If it works for you, just let us know, and I might think of buying this router because I really need to watch the service wirelessly.

Which asus router you using? i need to check with the asus router emulator, As i checked the AC66U emulator, it cant set in this way.

The alternative way is if you got a N router, you can configure as AP and connect to the Hypptv port on your asus router if cant set the wifi assign IPTV on wifi. I never try it yet, but i think its should work.

Or buy a powerline adapter.
