this lol. every now and then, i still see people complaining TM stock router is not good enough/total crap, rubbish etc.

i've been using unifi for more than 5 years now, been using the stock router d-link 615(orange/white one) since the very beginning. throughout this period, i never had any problem at all with my router lol, be it wired/wireless connection. everything works just fine be it in gaming/browsing/video/torrent.

it really puzzled me when i read the forum and lots of people complaining about the router quality. just what the heck did u guys do lol.

From the chart,
it looks like VIP20 subscribers are in a disadvantage.
VIP20 pay RM249 upgraded to Advance50 pay RM249.
While Advance50 pay RM249 will be upgraded to Unifi Pro 100 pay RM249.

Streamyx subscribers benefit the most. Their upgrade will be to VIP10 (if their area has Unifi coverage).

What is the difference between Voluntary upgrade with consent and Voluntary only?
You pay RM179 for Advance30 which is not in the chart, therefore, no free upgrade for you. :confused:  :confused:  :confused:
Maybe only those who are paying full price for their package will get the free upgrade?

This is my analysis on the chart above. Might not be true.

For the current promotion packages, yes, they are entitled to the free upgrade.
There are many subscribers who have been given free upgrade earlier without increase in fee.
These subscribers will be affected.
Not sure about those who paid RM10 for the upgrade. Are they entitle to the free upgrade?
TM will find means not to upgrade your package.

1. no contract renewal / free voice maintain.
2. vip 5 to vip 10 no additional payment. vip 10 to adv 30 upgrade with additional rm10/ contract renew for 24months/no more free voice call.

VIP5 and Streamyx subscribers are in the same category "voluntary" upgrade to VIP10.
Do you mean that these subscribers have to pay for the upgrade to VIP10?
If that is the case, VIP5 subscribers are being shortchanged.

Advance30 - RM159
Advance50 - RM179

The picture showing the 10M package just means that there will be such an option for Streamyx users who qualify and is voluntary. It does not automatically mean that all other Streamyx users will not get any upgrade or price adjustment.  That is how I see it.  I guess we'll see what happens later on.

Total bandwidth exceeded, this is normal situation. Good luck with people opt for > 30mbps packages.
Consider your car as your Unifi package and road is the main underwater international line.
Is just like PLUS highway Seremban to KL, they just upgraded the road from 3 lanes to 4 lanes. More cars will be using it since this is the best road to used(last time Lekas is cheap before hike). As soon as all the cars pack the road, the normal thing happens, traffic jam with car crawling.

Now I'm using the 10mbps package, never have slow buffering issues.
Good luck with this, the most is you get extra few hours of stable connection, then back to square 1. Initially I thought was my line issues(from Screamyx) but now even with Unifi, I still got some disconnections every now and then. Really "potong stim" especially doing direct download from certain file servers, worst if 95% complete.
I don't really bother on this, as if I were to reset the port, the most is the time for this rubbish will be changed to another time. Just take note on the time you hit with this and avoid this time. This is what I'm doing.

Just walk in to any nearest TM Point to do the upgrade. The promo has been extended to 28th Feb for RM 179 - Advance 30. You will get 50Mbps later when TM starts to roll out free upgrade in phases.

However if the file is like 20-30GB per movie, it will take some time to buffer though.

The one we were referring to uses Torrent based.

I rather TM not to announce any timeline if they can't even meet its deadline.

Hi guys. I'm currently at VIP 10 package (upgraded from 5 last year), can I know the difference between this package and the 30 mpbs package besides the obvious download speed? I don't really need higher download speed, so is there any advantage to upgrading? (especially for online gaming)
