But normally is underground right?
*
newer house should be all underground with the green Color DP.

If pole it is using the existing telephone line but just added it as DP for unifi.

Thanks guys

For some reason HyppTV is not stable when used through Homeplug. The channels randomly cannot work. But everything working fine if directly plug through LAN port doh.gif
*
i tried using homeplug before, even my homeplug is not plug into the power socket, but instead plug to a power extension (brick type), it works like charm, no issue. By rite, since i am not connecting it direct to power socket, the performance should be degraded, but it seems no issues at all. biggrin.gif

ya when the time i applied at the portal, system there shown me port full and the system want me to leave my contact details, their sales team will call me but after 3 days but no one contact me then i called 100 and asked, they said if you apply online and the sales team didn't call you within 3 days, that means your area no coverage/port full...............................
*
they won't call u one. if ur area has no coverage or no port. before my area has coverage, i had been leaving a lot of times of the contact details and I even register interests for multiple time.

it is purely to leave contact details only.

no one will call u one. cool2.gif

too good for 50Mbps package. brows.gif TM did put a 10% buffer at downstream and upstream
*
sometimes it is just a spike. my 30Mbps sometimes can hit 3.7MB/s too.

Finally TM guy came to do installation. Able to get full 30Mb speed so far. He brought D-Link AC1200 Router. I tried to ask regarding the 50Mb upgrade, he told me its on technical availability.

Special thanks to @fruitie for recommending Quill City mall TM Point.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
u made it for the promo. rclxms.gif

and u are guaranteed for the B&W upgrade since u sign up and activate within the campaign period.

I getting constantly for every download around 6.5MB/s. The highest I get for today is 7.2MB/s.
*
6.5MB/s constant speed for 50Mbps plan is normal. Since 30Mbps can constantly get 3.2MB/s least.

I use this calculator. Did I get my terminology correct? i am always confuse which is which
*
It is correct. but in reality u can expect a speed lower than the theoretical speed, my download does spike to 3.7MB/s sometimes but most of the time around 3.2MB/s++ (stable)

I guess, i could increase my torrent speed cap then. As my line is shared with others, I usually capped it at lower speed
*
seriously, based on the 30Mbps bandwidth, even u are doing torrents at maximum speed, it does not really affect web browsing or youtube at the same time at all. at least for my experience it is.

i do not even need to enable the bandwidth control on my tp-link wifi router, and it works like charm. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(1tanmee @ Dec 31 2016, 10:10 PM)
Of course it won't be, as torrent would depend on the seed/peer thingy.
ok now i confuse again, in terms of kB/s, what would it be for Unifi 30mbps package?

realised that uTorrent uses kB/s as measurement of speed, and math is not my forte, hahah
*
for utorrent, it will show as MB/s once u hit 1MB/s and above speed for your download.

TM website is down liao... tongue.gif

I'm just curious what will happen to those 50Mbps user who couldn't get the free upgrade to 100Mbps because their area is unsupported?
*
u get nothing if ur area cannot support 100Mbps. Nothing u can claim from TM such as rebate or discount due to this as it is subjected to service availability.

Is the ping really important.. Mine is always below 10ms.
*
it depends on the location of ur server for the speed test. it cannot be conclusive that ur ping is better due to below 10ms.

The amount of dissapointment I feel from this post haha. At least u still getting 30+ on dl and that ping too. Mine is now 27 and ping is 28-40ms.
*
27Mbps that's the common problem for a lot of ppl here as well. a lot of ppl are getting 28Mbps average for the 30Mbps plan. TM only guarantees 80% of bandwidth for consumer so at least it is within the range.

ping like said, it really depends on the server u use for the speedtest as well, 0-30ms ping are considered as good actually.
