samsung pay or visa paywave?
sorry but its scary seeing video of the petrol pump explode because of usage of phone in vicinity

question: when i try to ask if the terminal support samsung pay, they said their terminal only support with pin type..if we use samsung pay, still can key in the pin?

Answer for your question: It depends on the prompt on the card terminal, you may sign or enter your PIN.

They gave you that answer because the cashier or whoever behind the counter also don't know much about the credit card terminal themselves, as far as I know, I have never seen chip only card terminals in Malaysia as they always have the swipe slot by the side.

If the card terminal is not contactless enabled then just hold your phone very near the swipe slot for Samsung Pay to work and when you look at the sales draft it may indicate that it's a "Swipe" transaction as oppose to "Chip" or "Contactless".

Samsung pay is too new to many in Malaysia so many so not know what is it.

Just ask can I pay by visa wave or swipe card?

When you use Samsung pay it doesn't require you to key in pin anymore.

If cashier say support visa wave tap on the machine screen.
If cashier say don't support tap your phone at the swipe card area side of the machine.

Samsung pay act as your credit card.

Samsung pay via gear s3 payment are not registered in the reward.

Failed two transactions today:

1. Kia Service Centre - maybe amount is too big for Wave
2. AEOM - tried twice

i know this although most cashier are too afraid..they dont even dare to give me try...so dont wanna cause a scene and pay with normal card instead

Actually when you reach the gold status, your status in the following month will remain gold. Therefore, if in September you reach gold, all the transactions in Oct, Nov, and Dec will get 40 points/transactions.

If that's true, then will get that watch in no time

max 50 transactions / month
50 in Sep + 50 in Oct + 50 in Nov + 25 in Dec to get the 7000 points , so still need to wait haha

Question: I haven't started using the Samsung Pay yet, and i don't use Wave that often cause I don't like it, usually request for PIN. So not very experienced.

Where do you touch your phone? Let's say the McDonald's one, at the side or near the top screen?

50 purchases per month, that translated to only 2000 points per month

Why miss? It only started few days ago the point rewards. You still have until end of this month to collect the 2000 points for this month.
