Almost all places that accept cards for payment would work with Samsung Pay.

I say almost all because some bank or merchant not properly configured their system, would result in some failed or rejection.

You can say technically all.

this sticker normally means, merchant are aware of this payment method, gladly accept it, unlike others who don't know about it and are more likely to reject due to afraid of you breaking their system or they thought of it as you try to hack their system.

there is still cases where they stick the "Samsung Pay accepted here", but the cashier don't know about it and don't know how to operate

the bolded part baffles me......what financial damages they did encounter to come to that decision.

last time when i was using at myNEWS, i see they can accept pay wave, so i tell them i want use paywave....once i use samsung pay and they ask for credit card number to key in the system for accounting purpose i guess, i say don't have, i think their supervisor sorta "snap" saying it should not go through (she meant credit card terminal) yada yada yada....

in the end she just let it slide without having able to key in into their POS with a not happy face, mind you this is at KLIA

maybe this incident trigger the stop acceptance of samsung pay

i offered to tap on the pos second time, they say cannot or something whatever weird reason they give, i dont bother to argue

all i can say is they are not flexible.......especially the so called senior/supervisor

they actually can just key in whatever is in the receipt,

eg, the receipt print 123 xxxx xxxxx 1234

they could just key in the system as 123 0000 00000 1234.

if the bank want to let them see, they won't censored it in the first place.

furthermore, my card paywave/SPay limit is open up to RM3k, no way in hell i am going to let them copy my physical credit card detail.

the actual card paywave no need pin, that's the problem

and some bank, don't give SMS notification for paywave transaction and Pin verified transaction

i am more afraid if my card is clone, like what i heard case in UK, more scary is they skim your card and key-log your pin, when you slot in your card in so call "legit retail store credit card terminal".

alot people just give in when the cashier ask, but who compensate you if they misused the information or the credit card information stolen and be used for fraud???

MST signal stronger, further and intercept the signal better than nfc

yes, gear 3 will get reward point as well..... you wont see the transaction detail for gear s3 on your phone, but gear 3 reward point will accumulate on the phone reward point counter.

i think the credit card terminal in Malaysia sukcs.....for using pay wave, no problem using MST in Malaysia but always got failed attempt when using Wave/NFC

in other country, because they have dedicated terminal extension for Paywave, i have zero issue, no failed attempt at all.

i assume you are using non samsung pay eligible phone (cannot see the point) and only 1 samsung gear s3, hence you are asking that question??

unless you guys mean other dedicated special campaign reward point which i am not eligible to join, then i would not be able to answer that question definitely

but if you are referring to the normal SPay reward point, across all region same reward point, yes you will definitely get point when using Gear S3.

Yeah, since i got Gear S3, i stopped using phone to pay, much more convenient and i am still seeing my point increasing.

one thing to note tho, the point counter (on the first page where you can click reward point, credit card, membership card,profile etc..) is not real time, at least for me, you need to click the "reward point" to refresh the exact point earned, then you will see the the number jump up,

it's normal, it is supposed to have different digital card number for different device.

no idea, try check with the CIMB CS, if they say can't they are bullshieting, ask them check at different angle.

I use US set phone(S6 Edge, which they advertise cannot use SPay[Malaysia set], SG set Gear 3 and i add my card at both device like nobody business.
