QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Dec 30 2017, 04:08 AM) it's not that hard to achieve, if especially that person already started using it since the beta, Samsung Pay already on going for more than 7 month?do you think it's not possible to gain 1k point per month since the start of SPay?? "early bird gets the worm" abuse using the credit card terminal is low to very low.... pay legit stuff via split multiple time, that is being creative, not abusing, even that is not very viable, you need to wait 5 minutes in between each transaction to earn point, do you think cashier is going to entertain that? i use SPay for convenience and security, not really just for the prize, the prize is just a bonus, if i get it, i get it, if not, maybe next time. the problem you mention is merchant and or stubborn cashier, nothing to do with Spay not able to perform it's function. |

QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Dec 30 2017, 09:09 AM) I have not say it's not possible. I get 2k points a month without problem but the effort and time to hit it is hard and hassle like after queue 10minutes and some error appears after retried so do you pay with cash or return the item and try else where? Last Saturday go to mcd. Wanna get latte see the queue so long. So since there a ice cream corner I ordered sundae cone after payment the spay come out error say connection error. So do I reject the ice cream or pay with cash? it's more error prone if it is a dual type credit card terminal, accept both MST and NFC(McD....etc), thats what i experience also. try dun SPay too close to MST if you plan to use NFC only or vice versa. Some people uses spay for item rm1 to rm3 then keep repeat it daily. Samsung pay started 7 months ago but rewards just started Oct and previous target for reward it's very easy 5 transactions you can redeem powerbank. It have all got to do with spay if merchant or cashier is stubborn that means Samsung did not do a good job in working with the banks to educate the cashiers. I Test spay alot and some merchant end up arguing with you even you explained and some terminal fail even they let you try. [attachmentid=9469518] i dont get error if it is a dedicated NFC terminal, or very old terminal that only have Swipe slot. connection error...that has to do with their connection as for the point, it doesn't disappear after the campaign, you still can use it to redeem the normal stuff, or keep it for maybe next campaign(thats how those 1st December people able to redeem, not credit card terminal abuser as they have limit of 50 transaction per month, if they just started when the campaign start.) QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Dec 30 2017, 09:47 AM) I do agree who knows there could be a bigger prize. i doubt it's abuser who jack up the point.Let me tell you another way how abuser jack up the point and get 2 redemption. They redeem first for icon X then they follow the slow ones to redeem the s3 the next time. Samsung goal is to spread SPay user, increase SPay transaction to spread awareness thingy.....once they reach their goal, they are going to increase the point requirement. Because once people start to aware, merchant might start to open up on accepting SPay payment, it will be getting easier to use SPay hence easier to collect point, it is no longer viable to offer the same point for the same thing when the ease of getting point would be easier in the future. it's like a game, you are not going to stay in "Easy" level forever, atleast Samsung is not going to let you stay in easy level forever, they want you to keep using Spay. |

QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Jan 7 2018, 11:36 AM) Maybank logo could be terminal issue? Happened to many times if I pull away the phone too fast. card error or card invalid error normally means Sometimes it show card error or card invalid. you put your phone maybe at the wrong location too far away both NFC and MST pickup the signal, concatenate both NFC and MST credit card information, hence information reaches the credit card network as invalid card. |

QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 10 2018, 08:33 PM) Merchant fee by right the lower the amount, the lower the merchant fee....Their boss doesn't want to absorb. That's why min amount; cash preferable; no approved method (SPay/Maybank Pay/CIMB Pay). you will feel the impact if it is higher amount, not lower let says 1% RM100 = RM1 merchant fee RM1 = RM0.01 or 1 cent only...... unless they have minimum merchant fee regardless of how low the transaction....then that would be banks problem for introducing that..... maybe someone who own a business and have credit card terminal can tells us why |

QUOTE(lawrencek @ Jan 14 2018, 05:12 PM) I heard lar. They temporary stop accepting CC bcos of fraud. After the customer tap the payment, their POS recorded the transaction but CC never go thru. They lost about RM25K. Duno how true. Need to camping other place if I am not hitting 50 transaction QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Jan 14 2018, 05:33 PM) Usually cashier will only accept the payment if the CC receipt printed out so how can their POS recorded but CC never go thru? unlikely, all transaction would have to go through credit card network before they approve the transaction.unless they "bypass" it, like the old time, where you can accept credit card "offline" maybe thats the reason why alot SPay user complaint didnt get point or something? just guessing This post has been edited by dr2k3: Jan 14 2018, 06:51 PM |

QUOTE(boonhan @ Jan 15 2018, 03:01 PM) Unlikely... previously i always purchase in giant with receipt written offline sale, got my point instantly. hmm, thats weird, if it's offline, how it contact Samsung Pay server to inform that your SPay account just clocked a transaction and to credit you the point ? for online sale, it will need dialing. |

QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Jan 15 2018, 10:12 PM) The token already generated to allow certain limit when the offline machine give a success transaction the phone is connected to spay server. i think you got the sequence abit wrong.server give a you set of token correct, allow certain limit that if your SPay is offline during the transaction, you pass it to merchant, the merchant then need to verify with the bank. when you say offline, means merchant is cut off from bank therefor cannot verify with the bank your reverse verification make sense if Bank share (real)credit card information to Samsung which i highly doubt, when Samsung don't even store the (real)credit card that is registered with Samung Pay in their server, which they mention and guaranteed. QUOTE(iamshf @ Jan 20 2018, 09:02 AM) Me too, lv 6 now woo....good for you.....with the cap of 50 transaction per month, SPay max can clock 2k point per month only.Just play with bixby, I can get 8k+ points This is easier than Spay My Spay points only 7K+ after 5 months hardworking (pump petrol and eat bread daily) I feel this is not fair to existing Spay user who try very hard to get the points, although I can earn more points from bixby i don't think it's unfair, you guys have to buy S8 in order to have the bixby function, in a way, you guys pay more, somemore you guys lend a hand to Samsung to train their Bixby, in a way it's like low "Pay" to train bixby |

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Jan 20 2018, 01:23 PM) But you still have to use the Samsung Pay to maintain the gold level. I lost my gold level last month because I didn't maintain. Lol! Now I'm about to lose my silver level too! Oh no! Really need to find a way to use it everyday now. Haha! those level is meant for you to earn your reward point faster, since you got better avenue of earning reward point faster, no need to fuss over it if you ask me.just use Spay for convenience. |

QUOTE(David83 @ Feb 3 2018, 12:27 PM) I'm not sure as I seldom swipe > RM 250. I see, then most likely the more than RM250 or your setup limit enter pin, only applicable to their own in house credit card and credit card terminal.I tried once at KIA SC, they're using HSBC Global Payment terminal and it was failed with either Citibank or CIMB CC. Either that or because CIMB card SPay Limit too high, pin prompt will not initiate as limit is not reach, and other merchant bank limit is lower, no pin prompt + over other merchant bank own limit therefor don't accept? just guessing, maybe i should lower my SPay limit so that it will prompt me for pin instead. QUOTE(wingchiew @ Feb 3 2018, 12:42 PM) Terminals that support NFC, >250 will prompt PIN. Maximum limit per day is subjected to Bank's limit. Different bank has different limit. i think we have 2 limitation....atleast that is what i experience in overseas.Terminals that dont have NFC, using MST, 250 is the limit. 1 is credit card itself, and 1 is merchant credit card terminal, whichever is lower first my card itself can SPay more than RM250 in value, but softly rejected by the credit card terminal without ever prompt me for pin, after inquire the related merchant bank, they told me limit is (this this amount), which is actually still way lower than my own setup limit. QUOTE(noobandroid @ Feb 3 2018, 06:50 PM) myself is CIMB, by default is 1k, i have increased to 3k, capable of increase until your max credit limit.but not much use for one time transaction of more than 250, but useful for cumulative transaction of until the limit you set without having to use physical card pin to reset the limit. do you know any other bank that can manually increase the limit? i mean as in credit card side. |
