In Singapore mc Donald's, they actually block MST transaction at the ordering terminal, stating invalid payment.
Sharing my SamsungPay experience in Singapore recently. Top up my Ez-Link card using SamsungPay on their Self-Service Kiosk which supported credit card payment (NFC). Bought a MCDonald set at McD Self Service Kiosk too, not over the cashier counter. Can actually DIY your burger and SamsungPay (NFC) it on the credit card terminal.
Yesterday bought something at Thundermatch Johor Bahru, make payment via MST on Public Bank terminal, first time failed by displaying Swipe Error. Tried again and it went through.

I used Wave at AEON Queensbay Mall. AEON is using MBB terminal.
At here, I discovered that CIMB Mastercard can be used on MBB terminal using Samsung Pay.
Previously, I did report that at McD, CIMB Mastercard is not supported for physical card Wave transaction.
I got a mixed result here:
CIMB Mastercard (physical card) at McD using Wave: failed
CIMB Mastercard (Samsung Pay) at AEON using Wave: successful
CIMB Mastercard (Samsung Pay) at McD using Wave: successful
Both McD and AEON use MBB terminal.
Malaysia McD currently only accept Visa PayWave, not Mastercard PayPass. But, when you make payment using your Cimb Mastercard via SamsungPay, transaction become SamsungPay, not Paypass. That's the reason its went through.
