TnG or merchant?

Makes me curious too. Like TnG, they charge the service provider the surcharge and they in return pass the buck over to the customers the 10% surcharge.

We cant do anything since its BN problem. The only way we hope for bigger change is most kampung ppl use cashless payment if not they take their sweet time implementing because majority dont even have a card. Just make sure the coming election vote wisely.

Frankly speaking the whole TnG architecture is so dinosaur.
The recent mobile wallet app launch with the aim to link to the physical card is a major failure!

If it's not because of the toll system and forced to use it, I have already dumped it very long time ago!

They want to maintain touch and go because its their crony company.

Touch and go watch was a failure, now they create an app that is not linked with physical card. From the app they also starting the QR feature but why do we need to reload into the app first before we can reload to touch and go then go to the pickup point to collect the money.Why they cant just follow successful business? like linked to your bank or credit card? since they cant innovate then copy like china.

Because it's cheaper.

Whenever a company is cheap skate, they will be unwilling to overhaul their system. Thus they will create another system which co exist with the current one, and this is what we got.

Actually TnG should be overhauled before it's too late. Gov already implemented TnG into our ic. Therefore our ic is already a unique TnG account no. Then all we have to do is apply for supplementary cards to use with smart tag. Businesses can also use their business registration as their unique account number and apply multiple card under one account.

However this system will not be cheap to implement.

Yeah, I totally agree. Goes with the saying "Cheap thing no good, Good thing not cheap". They just want to maximise profits without spending to improve.

Come on the system has been here more than 20 years.
I remembered that I did use it for taking LRT or buses during my high school time.
If not upgrade, how to improve! Don't be nostalgic!

Its not about nostalgic its their mistake to implement touch and go without have a preplan future. So many infrastructure have uses touch and go like all tolls in malaysia, merchant, atm machines, reload machines at petrol station , all LRT station , parking and etc.

If they pull the plug the damage will be very bad for theitlr image

How secure is that?
Even a keyless entry car lock access can be hacked?

That is the major problem here in the Bolehland, they just don't emphasize enough on safety and security of their products & services. They are just inviting to be hacked.

I guess they drag as long as they can since they profiting from it.

I remember when singapore using RFID , malaysia started touch and go aftet 20 years now they are only testing RFID?

Saw the video the myvi got stolen so easy keyless.

You and the merchant are contributing for it.
Reload charge and surcharge for parking, remember?

What to do, that is the only option available to us at the time of inception. At least now we have other choices.

Suppose merchant bear the fees while we customers enjoy the convenient instead we need to pay for thr convenient

On top of that, there's NO encourage of going cashless like lower rate when using TnG.
For parking, they did the opposite way somemore; imposing surcharge!
