it's has been posted on the internet...i'll just repeat it...

1. boot your vista

3. turn off automatic activation
4. choose your upgrade version
5. finish the installation
6. then boot vista installation from within vista
7. then input your product key

There is two type of Vista. OEM and Retail version. Both different packaging. If OEM packaging, it's a normal small box with booklet and cds only. But if Retailed version, check out my Avatar logo.

Woo congrat.
Anywhere i think once i get it i won't install it.
Hahah maybe will keep as collection for time being.
Reason? I'm a s/w developer. All my developer tools is not working in Vista. So i can't install Vista.

By the way i heard Vista unable to use BitTorrent? Is it true. Is it bcoz not yet have the BT application for Vista.

Dear kyosuke86,

Alarmed about your concern. MS is going to send the DVD to from US. Since this is a world wide program, please allocate some time allowance to make the delivery to you. If I am right, it will be the upgrade pack for your machine. If you still have any problem or further enquiries, I may help you to reach MS faster. However no promise on this. Thanks.

Cheers... still no reply from microsoft after more than 2 weeks =.=

Are they waiting for the dateline then only they'll start issuing the DVDs =.=?

Dear V3000,

Basically, there are few different SKUs for Vista. If you already have the genuine XP running, you have to purchase the upgrade pack. If you machine is naked, then you have to purchase the full version loh...

Haha! alot ppl will feel same like u do.. 'express' upgrade! Btw bro, i never have pending in my status until now ler.. Did u do everything they request.. like sent them the copy of your POP etc etc..
*
No woh, what POP?

I was just told to go to Dell Vista Upgrade website http://www.dellvistaupgrade.com , enter my details and credit card number.

They sent me an email straight after to say that they will be reviewing my redemption, but I haven't heard any news since then. That was like on Jan 27th.

I tried emailing them on this issue, but no replies yet. Fingers crossed. shocking.gif

**EDIT

I just read on a Dell blog ur status will always be "pending" until they ship the product. You will also receive an email when they ship it.
