QUOTE(dualshock @ Mar 5 2007, 03:08 PM) u can circumvent this... Yup..just found out that...if enter product key, they ask u to install from winxp..it's has been posted on the internet...i'll just repeat it... 1. boot your vista 2. don't input product key while installing 3. turn off automatic activation 4. choose your upgrade version 5. finish the installation 6. then boot vista installation from within vista 7. then input your product key 8. install as usual done... If upgrade from WinXp also hv its advantage..it backup your winxp files to vista in a folder This post has been edited by accs_centre: Mar 5 2007, 03:57 PM |

QUOTE(V3000 @ Mar 6 2007, 10:16 AM) Bro, how long it take to install Vista 2 time? and did Vista void your XP keys if you install this way? and 1 more silly question.. did u need to dload driver or all already fix by Vista as saying by past post.. HoHoHo..Then means i am 1st batch to receive? hahasorry bro alot question to trouble u.. since i got no where else to ask and all ppl didn receive the pack yet Cheers and thanks! The process takes only around 20min for 2 time installation (vary on your system performance)...wont void XP key if u install 2 times the same Vista.. Cuz the key given for express upgrade is for upgrade purchase, no clean install.. If u hv inactivated vista in pc before..install once again vista is considered upgrade also..so it works.. With this method, wont void XP key and wont void vista key as no vista cdkey being input being input.. Added on March 6, 2007, 1:24 pm QUOTE(adriankhoo153 @ Mar 6 2007, 12:55 PM) Hehe, seems that there is another loophole in upgrade express. Now it's not upgrade but rather buy XP get Free Vista.. Haha Altot it give free Vista but the postage is not cheap too.. Somemore only XP Pro and Media Centre Edition giving free upgrade ma This post has been edited by accs_centre: Mar 6 2007, 01:24 PM |

Vista will ask u whether to do clean install or upgrade during second time.. Select the clean install and Vista still backup the 1st time vista into your new clean installed vista.. Later, u just delete the backup file in folder named 'old' in C:

Number of online activation allowed apply to winXP as well..But they allow more than 3 times online activation b4 u need to call them do get the code for activation. All my 3 WinXP cd-key need to call Microsoft to do activation ..hehe
OEM version dont really allow you to change so many parts and do activation again. So when u call to Microsoft, just say format cuz of viruses and same hardware and pc u r installing the windows. |
