Yes and no smile.gif

If we type in the xp cd keys into the Vista and upgrade it the XP cd keys will be invalid in future install..
but if we left the keys blank we'll have 2 original OS rclxms.gif i read this somewhere when i googling..

Cheers!

But u need to key in the cd key in order to install it mah??

From the website i read, The Vista have diff key.. before u install, u just left the old key (XP keys) blank and click 30days trail. Then after install they only key in the Vista cd keys..

I cant confirm this yet.. hope accs can give us more detail after he install.. and after i get my Vista i'll post it here how to activate Vista without sacrifice XP keys smile.gif and how to kill old XP cd keys at the same time smile.gif

Cheers!

Hehe but for now, i think Accs is too excited with his new Vista. Just like me when i got my Home Premium on last Friday at LYP.

Bro, no driver included from manufacturer? thats mean we have to prepare the driver before we trying to upgrade?
*
Normally u dun have to worry much on driver. It will install automactically all the driver for u once u connect to internet.

QUOTE
It state Express Upgrade cuz we r getting the Vista CD from Free Upgrade programme..Microsoft call it Express Upgrade. Im getting Home Premium. Packaging is just same as OEM package, Vista DVD, DVD Cover and small booklet.

Looks like u have the same OEM packaging like mine..

My status for my dell is still "Pending".

I don't get it.

Annoyed, considering it is "Express" upgrade.

Anybody else with a dell with the same status?

Hehe, a waiting game tongue.gif

wat u mean by the dvd box is the box lik the retail 1? or just normal box>?
*
There is two type of Vista. OEM and Retail version. Both different packaging. If OEM packaging, it's a normal small box with booklet and cds only. But if Retailed version, check out my Avatar logo.

But for OEM version, i heard that reseller said that only can activate 3 times only. How true i am not sure la. But if i were to change Mobo, Hdd etc, i need to call Microsoft to verified this. Otherwise cannot activate one.

Hmm strange. But i really can fell it lag delayed for a while when changing track. Wat i mean is current track are playing a song, then i double click on another song to play. Normally it take me about 2 sec to changing media. But in Vista it took me 5-7 second to change to another song. There is written 'Changing Media' in the delayed doh.gif

Yup, i dun recommend people to use Vista with old machine. Aero is just a simple requirement of 1GB Ram only. GC should be only 128mb
