some models have alot more stickers
the ones at the sony centre had tons of stickers
i picked the ones with least stickers XD
erm, should i leave my battery in the laptop or take it out when plugged in?
the guidebook says to leave the batt in the laptop :/
but i read some articles on lithium ion batteries, saying its better to take it out when plugged in for extended period at around 50% charged.

VAIO Control Center has a 'Battery Care Function' that you can enable. This limits the charging to 50% even if its plugged in. Great feature thumbup.gif

Guys,
I just bought an extended battery pack for Vaio Z (VGP-BPL12) at Sony Style Berjaya Times Square. Got it RM 850 after discount (original price was RM 950). The battery info in the Windows shows it can last up to 11hrs 42 min. Haven't really test the true performance though!

Most of Sony Vaios are made in Japan. Only the colured (CS) models are made in China. Well, that's what I was told anyways.

It just assembly in japan. Most of the component is made in china. And the main failure is the component in the laptop. Should say Assemble in japan instead of Made in Japan.

Ive test run the unit, below is what i can say:
1. decent CPU in term of performance and power usage.
2. not too hot when under running cpu/gpu intensive program.
3. kinda thick, heavy for 14.1" class notebook. and yes its sturdy built.
4. beauty by its glossy interface and color
5. bright and crisp color lcd.

Performance, its moderate. if you opt for nvidia 9300gs one, the card can run low to medium setting for current games, due to its 128mb dedicated gpu, and if you dont mind about its poor mobility, this is the best one sony can offer, else opt for FW series which slightly bigger screen than this one.
