Cause people want metal/glass phone lah, easy scratch easy break. I suspect cheapest metal frame also more expensive than best plastic frame, plastic maybe better for budget phone but people see metal phone so pretty cannot resist brows.gif .

Settings > Memory > Memory used by apps > User experience data service > "Info"-circle icon > Force stop > Data usage > Toggle ON "Restrict background data".

We can't find it inside the "Data Usage" menu as the "Lenovo User Experience Program" is baked into the system/ROM.... so, have to dig inside "Memory". The same goes to other "background/system" services that we want to disabled the background data usage but still running in the system memory.

I have tested Waze version 4.18.0.1 (updated as of 18 jan 2017).

It is running as expected without any forced-close. However, the energy consumption is "slightly" higher compared to G-Maps (I know P2 has massive energy, so no direct impact on the battery anyway...).

For 1 hour 44 minutes navi, Waze uses 152mAh energy [i.e. (152/5100)*100% = 2.98%]. Similar condition on G-maps only consumes 1.5% energy.
Attached Image

Another issue for Waze (in my case...) is it is quite slow detecting very-very-very close junctions. Say from one junction to the next is about 50 meters apart. I mean, I already turned into a junction, but the graphics still not turning the maps accordingly....after I drove like about 100m, then only the map is orientated to the correct direction. Whereas, G-maps has no slight delay in map orientation.... G-Maps always 200m ahead from my next turnings/junctions despite the junctions are close to each other....

Even the routing to avoid traffic jams is also not as good/realiable as previous version (I used Waze since year 2012....). Hence, from my experience since year 2012, I don't see the "necessity" of Waze anymore....Google purposely make Waze "unreliable" slowly before killing it off altogether in the near future....

I'm keeping G-maps for now....

The service is required for "other" purposes...but if we stop the "background data", at least it does not consumes bandwidth. however, the memory will be used by this service. Just root P2 to permanently kill this service....

But I won't root as the device/ROM is still "acceptable" from my inspection compared to Xiaomi's MIUI (which has dozens of "hidden" services eating up battery and memory...which requires Rooting as a MUST activity....).

P2 stock ROW ROM is still "clean" compared to MIUI....so rooting P2 is "personal choice" and not a "must"....

Jap bukan lenovo mmg 2 years  warranty mcm their lappy?  Our office tablet n phones 2 years.. Phone brand are lenovo@samsung@sony

Edited: extra services by our supplier..
*
Nope..... not 2 years... at most 1 year as below:
"1) General device components = 1 year local manufacturer warranty.
2) Battery = 1 year local manufacturer warranty (No other vendors offer such warranty).
3) Rapid Charger = 1 year local manufacturer warranty.
4) Earphones = 3 months local manufacturer warranty (LeMoto is really serious to force us to use the bundled earphones....?)"

Attached Image

However, in Europe, it is confirmed 2 years warranty....

India...?

So, LeMoto Mobile for Malaysia customers is not "appreciated" like in Europe countries (Hence, Europe SRP price is RM1,600++)....
