Ladies and gentelmen, a noise cancelling mic and YT issues are gone! Lenovo also added a blue-light filter to a Night Mode. The UI (main menu, notifications bar) looks a bit different, as the notifications. So far I am very happy with this update, but I will see of there are any new bugs (hopefully not). Tomorrow I'm going to test a camera as well; I will upload my foootage to my YT channel and still photos to the album. I see that Night Mode on stock camera app is still making not the sharpest photos- in Pro Mode with1/2 or 2/3 s shutter time quality is better- tested so far inside my bedroom.

Today I spent some time with a camera on Nougat: I think that indoors the autofocus is...a little bit more sluggish than before. Outdoors I can't see any noticeable difference. So, fell free to check out my 4K samples: https://youtu.be/9m9iI0VG6yc (autofocus is still jumping) and https://youtu.be/YTB-VkwOJAM. Camera samples: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9o...dkNCejkyalRFVzQ and most importantly, these records: The P2 records...another P2 in a shopping centre (its speaker) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9oRt9e_Nv...ew?usp=drivesdk , music from a speaker of Xperia T https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9oRt9e_Nv...ew?usp=drivesdk and an ambulance siren https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9oRt9e_Nv...ew?usp=drivesdk

So far my battery life is exactly the same like with 6.0.1. I think that somehow a camera uses now little less juice (1-1,5% per hour). Today I made and uploaded all of these things I've posted and I've used 23% of battery with 3h15min SoT: 2h with 50-60 % brightness (making of), the rest indoors with 10% (uploading).

I am using Nougat since Tuesday and my battery life is exactly the same as with MM. Last night I tried sound recording inside a little pub (loud voices and some music -but not very loud- there was no problem with the music in the background and my firends voices (we wre playing some board games closely to ourselves). I've also recorded a train or trafiic: under the brigde + loud tarmac and both records are OK. While typing this I've recorded a chopper bike waiting at the lights and then traffic: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9oRt9e_Nv...ew?usp=drivesdk and then some local players https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9oRt9e_Nv...ew?usp=drivesdk However another user reported me that still very loud music is not recorded propelly- at the moment i haven't got a car radio or a stereo system to make a loud music. I've tried to play music with the P2 speaker at the max volume lying on the window sill (it will make any phone sound richer, especially in the corner of it) while screen recorder app was recording the sound: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9oRt9e_Nv...ew?usp=drivesdk and https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9oRt9e_Nv...ew?usp=drivesdk. Another important news: autofocus does not has to jump with Open Camera, you should simply change the focus mode to locked AF or fixed, these are brief results from yesterday https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9o...T2M0VXM4OFd0QXM , today I am going to make more samples, I've got a beautiful weather at the moment, spring (middle-eastern Europe) has finally come to us, first time since 28th of September '16 I'm only wearing a T-shirt (and trousers and shoes of course, haha)

Proszę bardzo, tego się nie spodziewałem wink.gif (You're welcome, I wasn't expecting that. smile.gif ) No more photos today, I ran out of battery sad.gif Hah, Prima Aprilis today in Europe! My day so far: 5,5 hours SoT, brightness for camera 50-75%, Web browsing 30-50%, mobile data LTE on. 5,5 h of: 70% camera in work, the rest - Web browsing. Altogether 43% used. This time I used A better camera with DRO mode on. It's something simillar to the normal HDR, but unfortunately both Open Camera and Snapit don't have a HDR mode (stock HDR mode is a joke for me). So that might be a useful equivalent of HDR... but there is a price to pay: 1 photo can weigh up to 12-13 Mb, that's a huge number.

P2's performance has increased significantly in Nougat... Energy efficiency is mixed results...

These are mine results:
PS. I will also show you some low-light samples (I've already made some) but I'll claim that nothing has really changed in bad lightning conditions.

A bit of the low-light situations. Open Camera, shots from my hand, plus short flash on of off comparision inside my kitchen(I think you will now which is which): https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9o...N2o3LWZfLS1Bem8 and a mix of A better camera, by hand - name is starting 2017..... and stock app- name is IMG...; with stock app I was usually trying to made my phone stable, I was doing things which normal people won't do (i.e. holding phone to the lamppost and taking photo by volume button without looking at the phone or a squat with my back sticking to the wall and phone between my legs or on my knees- it can even work sometimes; also I simply put my phone on a wall or handrail) because I've been using 1/2 or 2/3 s. exposure time. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9o...WUdOdFh5eGprVHM
Now, videos: first by A better camera, 4K but with low FPS sad.gif
https://yadi.sk/i/q0_OolCW3GZfTX and Open Camera taking it easy (1080p): https://yadi.sk/i/qpyECOR83GZiVq Again, Open Camera is a must for this phone.

I noticed after nougat update, the speaker at 100% volume does not break the sound, still clear and loud at max vol. Really enjoying all the nougat benefits. Tried split screen wow something new to play with. Now my phone is super duper smooth and snappy.
*
I can confirm that fact wink.gif However, yesterday I compared the volume of the same video from YT using YT app and Chrome+ Yandex as a web browser. Except maximum levels, let's say at 5/15 or 7/15 or 10/15 YT app was a litte bit quieter...I haven't noticed that with MM- but I read on the P2's Lenovo forum that some people, I think that from UK with their branded soft, had that problem with MM. It wasn't really big diffrence but I could hear they differ a little bit. By the way that was possible thanks to the Split apps feauture. I haven't got any problem with on-screen buttons.

I also realised that there is a price to pay with an Open Camera working at its best (100 Mbps birate) while making a video: Open Camera file is ~ 2,5 to even 3,5 times bigger than made by stock app. (i.e. 30 sec 1080p clip: stock 70 Mb, OC 173 Mb) With the default birate, size is the same. However I can't say if that would make a diffrence with quality because I've been always using 100 Mbps birate.

P2 & LaFerrari Aperta... .My "suprise" is almost 100% perfectly done. I managed to win free entry into the biggest annual Motor Show in Poland (4th in Europe). However, before starting, an Open Camera sometimes ditches stereo sound to mono itself or (more often) after resuming filming with default settings ;/ It's hearable in a Giulia video (from 0:07 to 0:32) but next one with Arrinera (Polish sports car prototype made in co-operation with Brits) is perfectly "stereo". Today I tried setting ""default audio source" inestead of "camcorder" and inside a shopping centre I always received stereo sound (several times). I'm back at the stand tomorrow and more is still to come smile.gif Fell free to check out all of them (Beginning of the Ferrari film is about 70th anniversary and at 2:38 there is English speech) smile.gif

Can any Nougatians verify whether fast-mo and slow-mo videos record the audio too...?

Damn, nothing has changed- no sound. From my overall experience with a stock app nothing really changed (focusing, FPS dropping, overall quality). We shall see what it will be like after a re-release....

I will test it after my lectures but my evening is yours night in Asia smile.gif First thing: Downloads app is back. Second: P2 is "Uncertified" again. Still no sound in slow or fast-motion videos.
